I would advice u to prepare for cat.as u can hv as much as opportunities to appear for cat.if u think u hv a caliber to crack cat then u must go for it.at d end u hv to decide wat is the best choice for u.

Don't worry about the placement. And number of companies are visited every year with average package of 4-6 lakhs. I exactly do not know about last year but in our batch it was around 87% student placed from campus recruitment.
