NMIMS Shortlist 2026: SVKMs NMIMS has released PI shortlist for NMIMS MBA admissions 2026. Candidates who filled the MBA application form can now login to check NMIMS shortlist status 2026. NMIMS calls are released based on NMAT scores. Shortlisted candidates have to fill an application form for NMIMS selection round. While filling the form, candidates who are shortlisted for NMIMS PI round have to book slot to choose the date and offline centre for NMIMS PI and other selection rounds. More than 1700 seats are to be filled at different NMIMS campuses for admission to MBA and specialised MBA courses. Along with the NMIMS calls 2026, candidates will find the sectional and overall NMAT cutoff.

Q:   How difficult is to get admission in BTech at NMIMS Hyderabad?

How hard it is to get admission to the course depends on a variety of factors. These factors are the difficulty level of the entrance exam, the number of applicants, the availability of seats in the selected course/specialisation. etc. Admission to the BTech programme of NMIMS Hyderabad is based on the N-CET scores. Seats are allotted to the candidates who manage to secure the required cut-off for BTech admission at the institute, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria. The institute's BTech eligibility criteria are not very difficult to meet. A candidate must have passed Class 12 with at least 45% in physics, mathematics, chemistry, or vocational subjects to be eligible for the course. Candidates with 45% in Diploma in engineering can also apply. 

Q:   What is the BBA fees at NMIMS Hyderabad?

The current BBA fees at NMIMS Hyderabad is unknown as the admissions are not yet open. In 2025, the BBA fees at NMIMS Hyderabad stood at INR 11 Lacs which was charged as INR 2.75 Lacs each year. The BBA fees can be found in the information brichure for BBA courses at NMIMS Hyderabad.

Yes, the NMIMS Admissions for MBA programme have started. Candidates who successfully completed the NMAT Registration process must also register at NMIMS official website and pay the application before the NMAT Exam. 

Q:   What is the NMIMS Hyderabad NMAT Cutoff 2024?
A: 

The NMIMS Hyderabad NMAT Cutoff 2024 was released for admission to its MBA/PGDM courses. The NMAT cutoff is released in the forms of scores for admission. The NMAT Cutoff 2024 was 220 for Gender-Neutral students. Therefore, students who wanted admission to this institute would need to attain at least 220 score in 2024 to be qualified for admission. 

 

What is NMIMS Shortlist 2026?

NMIMS shortlist refers to the list of candidates who get shortlisted for NMIMS admission rounds, like personal interview, and NMIMS competency test. Every year, NMIMS releases post NMAT dates, where the schedule starts with the shortlisted candidates filling form to book slots for personal interview. NMIMS PI shortlist, also known as NMIMS calls are released before the start of this schedule. Candidates who are shortlisted are marked eligible for MBA admission rounds at NMIMS. Such candidates are invited to fill the form for personal interview as per the schedule. 

SVKMs NMIMS releases the NMIMS PI shortlist based on the scores of the candidates in the NMAT by GMAC. SVKMs NMIMS releases call letters to shortlist candidates for personal interview rounds.

NMIMS Admission Process 2026

Candidates aspiring for MBA admissions at SVKMs NMIMS have to follow the following steps:

1st Step: Register for NMAT by GMAC

As the first step for NMIMS MBA admission, candidates have to apply for NMAT exam from the official website, mba.com. The registration fee for NMAT exam is to be paid to schedule the exam. Candidates can appear for NMAT exam on a date within the test window as per their convenience. Additionally, candidates have the flexibility to appear for the NMAT exam three times during the test window. However, NMIMS will only consider the NMAT score in the first attempt. Therefore, candidates who are applying for NMAT to get NMIMS admission can skip the retake exams, that is two attempts after one main attempt.

2nd Step: Register for NMIMS

To fill the NMIMS MBA admission form on the university website, nmims.edu, candidates must have the NMAT registration number. The registration fee for NMIMS MBA admission is to be paid separately while filling the NMIMS admission form. Key takeaway for NMIMS admission form fillup is that the candidates have to fill the form before their NMAT exam date. In case the candidates schedule the NMAT exam to appear on October 10, he/she must have completed the NMIMS admission form submission on or before October 9.

While completing the NMIMS registration, candidates have to provide programme preference. Candidates have to select minimum five programme preference.

NMIMS Hyderabad BTech admission dates vary from year to year. The admission process typically begins in December with the release of online application forms. The application process was conducted in two phases in 2024. The last date to apply for BTech during the first phase was March 10, 2024. For the second phase, the last date to apply was May 20, 2024. The admission process for 2024 was concluded on July 31, 2024.

Candidates seeking admission to the five year BArch course must apply for the same through NATA. Candidates who clear the cutoff are given an offer for admission. NMIMS Personal Interview 2026

The GD round will be followed by the Personal Interview round of NMAT selection process where three to four interviewers will ask each candidate a list of questions. The panel will ask the candidate questions from management, current affairs and events from across the world.

In the Personal Interview round of NMAT selection process, panelists will judge students in the following criteria:

  1. Personality
  2. Communication Skills
  3. Confidence
  4. Past academic records

NMIMS Competency Assessment 2026

The NMIMS Competency Assessment is the second-stage evaluation in their MBA admission process. SVKMs NMIMS will conduct a 45-minute test with 20 MCQ type questions as a computer-based test from centre. NMIMS competency test is conducted on the day for personal interview. Scores in NMIMS competency test are also considered for final merit list preparation. Candidates find questions based on following areas in the NMIMS competency test:

  • Verbal Ability: This section has questions from Reading Comprehension, Para-Summaries, etc.
  • Mental Ability: This section has questions from Logical Reasoning, Arrangement Puzzles, Critical Reasoning, etc.
  • Managerial Ability: This section of NMIMS competency assessment will have questions from Situational Judgment, Business Problem Solving, Decision Making, etc.

NMIMS Written Ability Test (Scrapped)

The Written Ability Test was considered an important round of the NMAT selection process. In the Written Ability Test, candidates will be tested on their writing and communication skills. For the written test, candidates were given a topic to write a short essay within 15-20 minutes.

In the Written Ability Test round of NMAT selection process, the key criteria on which candidates will be given scores include-

  2. Language Skills
  3. Vocabulary
  4. Writing Ability
  5. Expression
  6. Ability to clearly express thoughts

NOTE: NMIMS scrapped WATSON and WAT tests to integrate NMIMS Competency Test in the selection criteria.

NMAT Selection Process: Important Documents

Once the second round of NMAT selection process is complete, selected candidates will have to complete formalities related to admission before a stipulated date. For this, students will require the following documents.

  • NMAT 2025 result

  • Birth certificate
  • Photocopies of all the academic certificates, such like- Class 10th, 12th, degree certificate/graduation mark sheet

The entrance exam conducted for NMIMS Hyderabad BTech admission is NCET. Candidates can fill out the NCET application form online. The steps included in the application process are as follows:

For admissions through NMIMS CET, the students will have to meet the eligibility criteria. They should have completed their 12th class qualifying exam from a recognised board. English is a compulsory subject along with either a Science or Vocational Science subject. For the Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Indore, and Hyderabad campuses, they should have scored minimum 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For the Shirpur campus, a minimum of 45% in PCM is needed. The age limit is 25 years.

No, NMAT is not mandatory for admission to the MBA+PGPM programme at Amity Global Business School (AGBS), Ahmedabad. While NMAT scores are accepted, the school offers multiple pathways for admission, and the exam is not the sole requirement.
