The college is ranked one among the best in the country.IHM Bangalore is affiliated with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).It is one of the top colleges and has a good placements rate.It has a training come practical knowledge which involves hands on practice.It is a good place to gain knowledge on the selected field.

As per my knowledge we have around 300 students who are pursuing their hotel management course from Institute of Hotel Management Bengaluru. Out of them 90%-93% got placed with a good package. The highest package was 8LPA offered by Samsung . Other recruiting companies of our college are Taj Hotels, Hyatt, etc. Even if your don't get placed here in the campus recruitment drive, you will surely be helped by the college management to get placed . 

Since it is a government establishment institution getting an admission is purely merit based. The procedure to get admission in IHM Bengaluru is that you have to qualify your 12 class with English as your compulsory subject then you have to attend the national council for hotel management joint entrance examination (NCHMCT JEE) . It is purely a computed based test (CBT) . You have to qualify in this examination to get admission in here. Payment of the seat acceptance fee is 20,000 rupees and you shoukd upload the required documents. Verification of documents is done later on and will be admitted into this well known top ranked Institute.
