Review of Institute of Science, Nirma University.
Placements: Around 30% of students got placed in our course. Top recruiting companies are Intas, Zydus, etc. Many pharmaceuticals visit our college to recruit students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides good facilities. Classrooms are spacious. They are equipped with air-conditioners. Corridors are spacious. We have libraries. We can use the resources of any library. You have to add your roll number to the database. Labs are good. Our college has good environment.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and friendly. They solve our doubts. Our HOD is good. There are multiple class assessments. Seminars and presentations are conducted in our college.

It provides good infrastructure, library, and placements can be better.
Placements: Around 15-20% of students were placed. Most pharmaceutical companies come for hiring during the end of semester 3 of the master's degree and continue for 2-3 months. Incharge notifies at least 3-4 days in advance so that students can prepare for an interview. Zydus, Cadila, Sun pharma, Aakash and Allen institute visit to hire students. Others may vary based on the agreement between the college and company. The average salary offered was Rs 15,000 per month which gradually increased based on experience and performance. QA, QC, and analyst were common job titles for pharma companies. There was a mandatory summer internship where students got scientific exposure.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good. It provides good library where students can borrow books for a week at least. Wi-Fi was provided only if students get their laptop registered but connectivity was not good. The classrooms were good with projectors. There was no air-conditioner in 2018-2020. The hostel facility was good it was in sharing among 2-6 students in a room. Both air-conditioner and non-air-conditioner rooms were available. There was a mess on the campus and it was indeed affordable. The food was good, and students get a lot of varieties of food.
Faculty: Teachers were well qualified with the Ph.D. degree. Most of them had 10 years of teaching experience in their respective field. The teaching quality was good and they teach mainly with powerpoint presentations. Course curriculum makes students ready for industry. Semester exams were easy to pass if students works hard from the beginning.
Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in it. Scholarships should be provided to students who were program toppers. Many extra-curricular activities were conducted across the year. Many live events were conducted. Singing, dancing, painting many more competitions were conducted every year.

It's the number one university to provide placements in Gujarat.
Placements: As this university is in the 4th position among all private colleges in India as per the list of 2020, obviously placements are very good. Many companies like Zydus Cadila, Cipla, etc., offer placement opportunities to students of our university. The salary package offered by companies is totally worth our efforts.
Infrastructure: All infrastructure and instruments for our biotechnology course are available. Our lab is completely well settled and properly suitable. The hostel is very well built, especially for students who are from out of town. The food served in the mess is very tasty and of better quality. The environment of the hostel and college is very peaceful.
Faculty: Teachers of our course and also other faculty members are very helpful and kind here. They all are PhD doctors. Their teaching quality is very impressive, and they teach not only by normal method but also by other devices like projectors, etc. They train students so that students completely cope with the industry.
Other: I chose the biotechnology course as it provides great knowledge. If opportunities in India for this course increase, it would be great for India. Many events and fests or activities are celebrated in our university. Our college is absolutely worth to take admission to.

It is a good institute with great teachers, opportunities and exposure.
Placements: Around 70%-80% of the students got placed from our university. Recruiters are pharmaceutical companies and coaching centres like Sun Pharma, Zydus, Akash and Allen. Roles offered are lecturers, clinical associate and research associate. The salary package offered ranges from 2 LPA-4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are excellent in our college. The library has all the required books for the courses offered by our institute. Laboratories are fully equipped for research and experimental works. Sports and game facilities are also available on the campus only. The quality and hygiene of the food are the best here.
Faculty: The course curriculum designed for students is very beneficial and makes them industry-ready. The course curriculum is relevant. Teachers are highly qualified with excellent teaching quality. They are helpful as well and encourage students to give their best.
Other: Our college has lush green and eco-friendly surroundings. Events and fests are organised here. I wish that the evaluation part needs more attention and improvement.

Higher fees, Needs to improve practical aspect of curriculum and placements.
Placements: Average placements. Mostly offered initial salary of 2.1Lacs per annum (much less as compared to any other renowned Institute like Nirma). Has good tieups with some pharma companies. Placement cells is there but still needs to get better. On can chose to work hard and get into college with better placement record or where they can get higher packages.
Infrastructure: Excellent campus. But Institute of Science needs better classroom facility, students needs to be allowed hands on training on sophisticated devices in laboratory. Needs industrial visit or training opportunities. Needs better canteen for Institute of Science.
Faculty: Excellent faculty members with knowledge, teaching and support except few. Highly potential research and project work is undertaken but needs to look for better outcomes. There was no industry exposure rather it was mostly about attendance and assignments!

The best private college in Gujarat.
Placements: I got placed in Zydus Pfizer Oncology Pvt. Ltd. with 1.9 lacs per annum as the starting package which is less than the fees I paid to the university, but it's better than having nothing. Our college placement cell works continuously to provide good opportunities to students. They try until every student gets placed in a good company across India.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with lots of facilities for students. Cricket ground, basketball ground, football ground, badminton ground, volleyball and other indoor games facilities are provided to students. A gym is available on the university campus near to the hostel.
Faculty: The faculty and course are purely research-based. All faculty help each and every student in the institute. They all treat every student like their own children. They support students in extracurricular activities too.
Other: A very big event in Ahmedabad is conducted by Nirma University named as Horizon. Other national and international conferences are arranged in the university.

No, Institute of Science, Nirma University generally does not accept direct admissions. Students need to appear for the entrance test and go through counselling for seat allotment. The institute however, may still allot some seats under the management quota. Students can contact ISNU for more info.

No, Institute of Science, Nirma University admissions are not merit-based. Students are selected purely on entrance basis for both MSc and PhD programmes. For MSc, students need to appear for the Common Entrance Tes - CET by Nirma University.
