My college journey is a mix of learning, growth, and new experiences.
Placements: Overall, the placement experience is okay. Not many companies participate, which limits the opportunity for students. Some students are able to secure offers, including my friends. Many students felt there should have been efforts to invite a wider range of companies from different fields. IPCA is most likely to be the one to come every year for campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided for the course is satisfactory. Classrooms are spacious with basic facilities like projectors and whiteboards, which help with delivering lectures effectively. There is still room for improvement, like proper ventilation or updated digital equipment for some classrooms. Overall, the infrastructure is good and supports the course requirement to a decent extent.
Faculty: Faculty members are generally knowledgeable and supportive. Most teachers explain concepts well and are approachable for doubts and guidance. However, teaching quality can vary from department to department. In the Microbiology department, they are the best faculty I have met. The examination system is fair and follows a proper schedule. The question paper usually reflects the syllabus.
Other: I am a B.Sc graduate in Microbiology. I chose this course because of my interest in learning about the microcreatures. If students are also interested to learn about them, then they can join this course.

B.Sc. in Biochemistry (Vocational Biotechnology) - Batch of 2025

It's a wonderful place to be.
Placements: There are no placements after B.Sc., but students get placed at really good companies after M.Sc., and they are offered pretty good packages as well. The maximum one I remember is 16 LPA. Students must complete an internship by the end of their second year, making it relatively easy to find opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Labs are well-equipped for a bachelor's level, and the classrooms are spacious and nice. The department has its own library aside from the central library, where you can find all the references given by faculty. The canteen is good. Sports facilities are also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are amazing. All of them are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are helpful and quite patient as well. The course's relevance to the industry is a subjective topic. Some parts are relevant, while others are not. Exams have moderate difficulty, but it's really hard to score well.

LJCCA, located in Vastrapur, follows GU although it's a fragment of LJ University.
Placements: Mostly all my seniors are finding jobs for themselves, and they don't have anything to write in their resumes. I mean projects and certificates, while some are doing master's in other private colleges, as my college is neither offering us placement nor a master's course.
Infrastructure: We have a few classrooms, comfortable branches, slow Wi-Fi, no hostel facility, and also the lab is not that good, small campus, poor parking facility, devoid of a canteen facility, no prior information about lectures, less number of events, and very bad management.
Faculty: The main faculty members have so much experience. They are good at teaching, so they make sure that our basics are clear, but some of the visiting faculty members are not so good at their job, and they are the ones taking our minor subjects, and the curriculum is okay.
Other: The majority of the crowd comes from other villages of Gujarat, all nerds and good as a person.

I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: Our college ranks number 1 in Gujarat, so students should have 85% to get admission to our college. In our college, the highest package is 5 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. Our college students get ranked 1 in Gujarat University, so our college is better than other colleges in Ahmedabad.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best facilities and infrastructure, like Wi-Fi, a computer lab, the best AC classrooms, a library, and a big playground for students to play. The canteen in our college provides healthy food. Sports and other activities are conducted in our college.
Faculty: Our college has all legendary teachers because they have doctoral degrees. They have the best teaching methods, which impress all students with their study. Some teachers get information about how to start a business and a small startup, and how to get investment in the share market. College teachers give important questions at exam time.
Other: I am interested in the business line, so I chose the B.Com course, and with other information related to the business. In college, I personally share my experience that my knowledge level and skills have improved because our college conducts extracurricular activities and events.

I am absolutely satisfied with the faculty members and good placements.
Placements: Generally, it is the finest, but we have to work hard. We cannot totally depend on college for placements. It totally depends on our skills. The starting average package ranges from below 5-6 LPA but is good as wise for education. Overall, it is nice for B.Com like some colleges do not need attendance. It is good, so students can apply for it.
Infrastructure: Facilities like labs, computers, and the library are nice, but sometimes it doesn't work like in labs most of the computers are not working properly. However, when we complain about this they call for help to repair it, and takes 1-2 weeks for repair so the problem listening is good but sometimes delayed.
Faculty: Faculty members at the college are highly qualified, supportive, and possess deep subject knowledge. Most professors are approachable and encourage interactive learning. The teaching quality is generally good, with some faculty members going the extra mile to ensure students grasp concepts well. The course curriculum is relevant and updated regularly to keep up with industry trends, which helps students become more industry-ready. Exams are moderately difficult, requiring consistent study, but are manageable with proper preparation. The pass percentage is fair, and students who attend classes and study regularly usually do well.
Other: Extracurricular activities are good and are conducted from time to time. Everyone can participate easily with a lot of support from faculty members.

Dissatisfied because they use our fees mony only to pay to faculties and not for students' benefits.
Placements: Students weren't admitted on basis of their percentage. They never interview students because it was a private department at first. They accepted those students who were ready to pay their feels. Percentage is never a problem. Hardly 3 companies come for campus placements and out of 300-400 students maximum 3 students are selected.
Infrastructure: Wi-fi has been restricted by them for students. It is only for management department and professors. Classrooms aren't available on time they have too many students to handle for each course. Illegal canteen was being run inside of building but no one stood up. Finally a case was filled and it was shut down.
Faculty: Facilities of professors is the worst. They work according to their comfort and not student's despite paying high feels. It does help students to learn new things but according to their convenience only. Exams are not difficult because as soon as exams appeared, professor of that particular subject would've disappeared till then.
Other: They don't have proper management for students. We aren't allowed to sit anywhere in campus of our own college because they have management chaos. Events are held with great effort and enthusiasm though attendance isn't marked for students who work for college benefits.

Q:   Is M.A. at Gujarat University worth the investment?
A:
{Source: M.A. students & alumni}

Here's a summary of what current students and alumni have to say:

* Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, providing practical applications in teaching. Course curriculum is relevant for future readiness.

* Infrastructure: Good infrastructure, with Wi-Fi facilities, well-decorated classrooms, a library full of books, and decent hospital facilities.

* Placement: Placement percentage is 70%, with top roles like teachers, content writers, publishers, etc. the highest package is INR5 LPA, the lowest is INR1.2 LPA, and average is INR3 LPA. * Research Opportunities: Faculty members guide students in publishing research papers, and the university offers opportunities to enroll in GUSEC for entrepreneurial ventures.

* Scholarship Availability: Scholarships are available for deserving students.

* Poor Placement Cell: The placement cell is ineffective for literature students, making it challenging for graduates to find employment directly related to their field of study.

* Limited Job Prospects: While publishing houses and educational institutions might consider literature graduates, job prospects are limited compared to other fields.
