Yes, based on the tuition fees, ITM Institute of Design and Media (IDM), Andheri West does seem to be more expensive compared to Pearl Academy Mumbai:ITM-IDM Fees: - B.Des program: Rs. 15,40,000 over 4 years - B.Sc Design program: Between Rs. 4,35,000 to Rs. 5,25,000 over 3 yearsPearl Academy Fees:- B.Des program: Rs. 6,65,000 over 4 years (Approx. Rs. 1.6 Lacs per year)- B.Sc Design program: Rs. 15,75,000 over 3 years (Approx. Rs. 2.2 Lacs per year)The tuition fees at ITM-IDM is almost 2.5x for B.Des programme and 1.5x for B.Sc Design, in comparison to Pearl Academy. This comparison suggests that the total course fees at ITM-IDM is significantly costlier versus that of Pearl Academy in Mumbai for similar UG level design programs on core tuition costs alone. Additional expenses on hostel, food etc. would still apply. So yes, ITM-IDM Andheri can be considered quite more expensive than other similar design colleges. One would have to evaluate programme merits, placement opportunities etc. as well for taking the final decision.

It is difficult to objectively state that ITM Institute of Design and Media (IDM), Andheri West is the 'best' design institute in Mumbai. However, here is an evaluation of ITM-IDM based on certain parameters:1. Programs Offered: ITM-IDM offers a diverse set of UG and PG level design programs including B.Des, M.Des, Integrated Program in Design, Design Specialisation courses etc. This provides students a good range of study options.2. Faculty and Facilities: The institute has credentialed faculty from leading design schools. The campus is equipped with design studios, labs, auditoriums and other amenities. However, it is relatively smaller compared to bigger design institutes. 3. Industry Exposure: ITM-IDM has extensive industry collaborations which offers good internship and placement opportunities to students during and after the program.4. ROI and Cost: In terms of fees and placements, ITM-IDM offers a reasonably good return-on-investment compared to education quality. But fees are higher compared to government design institutes. In summary - While ITM-IDM is considered amongst the leading private design schools in Mumbai and offers quality design education, it faces tough competition from the likes of DSK Supinfocom, Rachana Sansad and more established government institutes like IDC IIT Bombay, DJSCE in certain parameters. An objective comparison across all such institutes is difficult to benchmark it as 'the best'.

It is difficult to definitively state whether the B.Sc programme at ITM Institute of Design and Media (ITM-IDM), Andheri West is better than the one offered at Amity University Mumbai. However, we can compare some key parameters:1. Faculty and Specializations Offered: ITM-IDM seems to have a more extensive range of focused design domain specializations like Fashion, Interior, Jewelry, Textile etc. The faculty is also specifically from design backgrounds. Amity faculty details are not clearly available.2. Practical Exposure and Employability: ITM-IDM has extensive industry collaborations that allow good practical exposure through projects/internships during the B.Sc programme itself. This results in better employability. Less clarity of the same for Amity. 3. Infrastructure: ITM-IDM has a dedicated design-focused infrastructure including studios, labs, etc. on its campus. Amity has a larger multi-discipline campus.4. Cost and ROI: ITM-IDM is likely to be much more expensive in terms of course fees. But potential return on investment may be higher. In summary - While Amity University has the advantage of being a full scale university, ITM-IDM specializes specifically in design domain and offers a focused practical oriented curriculum in that respect with industry exposures. This may give it an edge for a B.Sc in design.
