UCEED 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate needs to meet the following eligibility criteria for appearing in UCEED 2026.
- Age limit - The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2001. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years applies to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories.
- Number of attempts - A candidate is allowed to take the UCEED exam a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.
- Qualifying exam - The candidate must have passed all the subjects in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) in 2024 or should be appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2026. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying for the first time in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.
Additionally, the candidate also needs to meet the institute-specific eligibility requirements discussed below.
Institute-specific Eligibility Criteria for Admission to B.Des course through UCEED 2026
Apart from the eligibility criteria mentioned above, the participating institutes have their own eligibility conditions, given below.
- Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible to apply to all the participating institutes.
- Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
- For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 are eligible.
- Students from Arts or Humanities at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.
