To take admission in the Masters of Optometry at ITM- Institute of Health Sciences, the candidate must hold an optometry or equivalent degree and complete a compulsory clinical internship.
The candidate should have passed Class 12 or any equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For reserved category the minimum aggregate score is 35% while for general canndidates it is 40%. Candidates who have passed class 12 of CBSE or any other board with Medical Laboratory Technology (as a Vocational course) are also eligible.
Anatomy and Physiology, Basic Optics, Visual Science and General Pathology are the four subjects that are taught in the first-year of the BOPTM course at ITM- Institute of Health Sciences.
Candidate must have passed class 12 with physics, chemistry and biology with at least 40% marks for general category students and a relaxation of 5% is given to the reserved category students.
