Honest review of our college.
Placements: Our college placement structure is excellent. The college provides students with opportunities to prove themselves, and the placement cell goes above and beyond to secure those opportunities. Some companies have very different criteria for hiring.
Infrastructure: The campus is nice. The canteen food is very good, but the price is too high. The hostel is pretty average. Overall, it is a good college when we consider all the factors.
Faculty: The semester is supposed to last for six months, but it only lasts for four months. Also, the semester guard and the external teacher are very rude and don't help students in the exam hall.

Review of JD Birla Institute, Kolkata.
Placements: The college offers placement opportunities to students from the 4th year. Companies like Deloitte, Godrej, Pepper Fry, EY, PWC, etc., are invited to the college for providing placement opportunities. The highest package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Most of the students come from business backgrounds, and therefore they tend to join their businesses after graduation.
Infrastructure: The college uses technology everywhere. For example, the ID card that the college provides has a separate barcode for each student, which is used for entry and exit in the library. All classrooms are fully air-conditioned, with water coolers on each floor. The college lacks in the field of sports.
Faculty: The faculty members of JDBI are some of the most understanding and knowledgeable. Their experience is top-notch, and the guidance they provide before the exams is very helpful. We students don't hesitate to ask our teachers any doubts or questions that we have, even if they are out of the syllabus. The semester exams are not that tough if you listen to the teachers' advice in class.
Other: The main reason for me to choose this college was that my hometown is 200 km from Kolkata, and JDBI is one of the best design colleges in West Bengal with the best faculty. The college organizes an annual function and a freshmen's party for its students every year.

Management is not good, otherwise it’s fine.
Placements: 27 students are there in M.Com with 7 of them being in the marketing and others in finance. 4 lacs per annum in hand salary is the highest placement package offered by Deloitte. Deloitte and PWC are the top recruiting companies. 90% students got internships. Auditor and Relationship Manager are the top jobs offered.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, library and labs are good but there is no wifi available for the students. Benches in the classrooms are not very comfortable. Canteen is also not available in the campus. I stay in a flat so I do not have any idea about the hostel which is located off-campus. Eateries are not easily available for the studenst.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. Some of the faculty members sare amazing but they do not teach to the fullest, they need to work hard by giving more time for internships rather than focusing more on the theoretical portion. The exams are difficult. Passing percentage is 90%. Since it is affiliated to Jadavpur university, paper is checked in the university and questions are also set there only, so it is neither too difficult nor too easy to clear the exams.
Other: I chose this course because i love marketing. We get to do market research and understand things at personal level.
More practical studies with images and videos can be used while teaching.

The Jdbian experience of 5 years - curriculum, feels, placements and more.
Placements: There are ample placement opportunities for the college students. The starting package can be around 2LPA to 6LPA. Big names like Deloitte, EY, etc. Are a part of the recruitment drive. Several other reputed companies also recruit students from our college. Internship is a mandatory part of the curriculum therefore, all students get to experience it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is up-to-date. Classes are wi-fi enabled with projectors and whiteboards. Additional, classrooms are compact and just right for the class strength of the college. Library has also necessary resources and students have the option of placing order from any important book that is available. Canteen has improved a lot over the recent years. Basic medical facility is available for students in college. The utility store is very useful for anything you need be it snacks or stationery. Xerox facility is also available in the utility store. There are 2 computer labs in the college.
Faculty: Overall the teaching-learning process at the college is good. If you are actually willing to learn there is no lack of resources or teachers. Everyone is there to help given you want to take some efforts and show genuine interest. The course curriculum has been updated and CBCS pattern is being followed. New mentor-mentee programme has also been implement. The semester exams are moderate difficult. In the masters level, exams focus more on testing conceptual clarity than wrote learning.
Other: The batch size for masters programme is small usually around 30 students. Due to the lockdown our batch missed the experience of fests. But events and workshops are organized every now and then on important days. Few clubs are there in the college in which you can participate. The college takes part in fests so you can be a part of it too. In the college area you will find PGs to stay in if you are an outstation student.

Opportunities and resources are very limited.
Placements: The placement opportunities in campus is not very good. You get great internship opportunities however placements not well supported since many students also go for higher studies after their B.Sc. Some companies like ITC foods, and some hospitals do recruit but the rate is extremely low.
Infrastructure: The course is well structured and provides deep information about the subject. It is probably one of the best in the country. The infrastructure of college is very mediocre as the campus is very limited with resources. Wi-Fi, library and a recreational room is available. There are no hostels associated with the college, one needs to find accommodation on their own. However many good pgs are available in the area.
Faculty: The teaching staff is knowledgeable for sure. All of them come from an UGC background and have good resources on the subject. The course curriculum is very relevant and makes the students industry ready. We are sent for mandatory internships and the course is very relevant as per that. There are 1 end sem exam every semester and in between there are 1 set of internal exams. All of these are pretty manageable.
Other: The college does not provide much event or campus crowd opportunities. Scholarship is available for students who do top in the exam. There is a badminton court where students can play sometimes. We hope the placement facilities get better since many students require some job experience after graduation for applying to higher studies.

I am satisfied with the knowledge provided by the college and the campus life.
Placements: Our college provides almost 100% placements to all the students who opt for it. Companies like Taj Groups, Nestle, and Birla visit the college to recruit students. But not all students attend placements as they want to complete their higher studies. The college provides high opportunities, and it is up to you how you grab it. You get roles in the marketing and finance fields.
Infrastructure: There are many labs and a library. The college is located in a very peaceful and lush green environment. There is a badminton court. Classrooms and labs are air-conditioned. The college has Wi-Fi. It has well-built labs with all equipment. The library is huge, with an online facility. Classrooms are well-maintained. The canteen provides healthy and ready-to-eat food.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are extremely cooperative. Exams are well-conducted, and the difficulty level of exams is average. More than 90% of the students pass the exams. Teachers in our college are highly qualified and expert. Their lectures include creativity, interest, knowledge, and they guide us at any point required. Their teaching quality is excellent, and the materials they provide are helpful. The college also provides internships which are beneficial.
Other: The college conducts annual fests. More extracurricular activities are conducted here.
