Honest review of our college.

Faculty: The semester is supposed to last for six months, but it only lasts for four months. Also, the semester guard and the external teacher are very rude and don't help students in the exam hall.

Review of JD Birla Institute, Kolkata.

Faculty: The faculty members of JDBI are some of the most understanding and knowledgeable. Their experience is top-notch, and the guidance they provide before the exams is very helpful. We students don't hesitate to ask our teachers any doubts or questions that we have, even if they are out of the syllabus. The semester exams are not that tough if you listen to the teachers' advice in class.

Management is not good, otherwise it’s fine.

Faculty: The teaching quality is good. Some of the faculty members sare amazing but they do not teach to the fullest, they need to work hard by giving more time for internships rather than focusing more on the theoretical portion. The exams are difficult. Passing percentage is 90%. Since it is affiliated to Jadavpur university, paper is checked in the university and questions are also set there only, so it is neither too difficult nor too easy to clear the exams.

The Jdbian experience of 5 years - curriculum, feels, placements and more.

Faculty: Overall the teaching-learning process at the college is good. If you are actually willing to learn there is no lack of resources or teachers. Everyone is there to help given you want to take some efforts and show genuine interest. The course curriculum has been updated and CBCS pattern is being followed. New mentor-mentee programme has also been implement. The semester exams are moderate difficult. In the masters level, exams focus more on testing conceptual clarity than wrote learning.

Opportunities and resources are very limited.

Faculty: The teaching staff is knowledgeable for sure. All of them come from an UGC background and have good resources on the subject. The course curriculum is very relevant and makes the students industry ready. We are sent for mandatory internships and the course is very relevant as per that. There are 1 end sem exam every semester and in between there are 1 set of internal exams. All of these are pretty manageable.

I am satisfied with the knowledge provided by the college and the campus life.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are extremely cooperative. Exams are well-conducted, and the difficulty level of exams is average. More than 90% of the students pass the exams. Teachers in our college are highly qualified and expert. Their lectures include creativity, interest, knowledge, and they guide us at any point required. Their teaching quality is excellent, and the materials they provide are helpful. The college also provides internships which are beneficial.

Best place for nutrition enthusiasts.

Faculty: The course gives it's students a holistic approach to the industry, and makes them well trained individuals. The faculty is very knowledgeable, and is ready to extend knowledge not just academically but career wise as well. They are all well trained individuals with high levels of professionalism in the field. The semester exams are good if you study your subject well. The online exams have 3 hour paper with 5 questions, each of 20 marks.

Review of J.D Birla Institute (JDBI).

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and qualified. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. In practical subjects, we had HTML and SQL languages. In the third year, you get to choose your specialisation, a course related to your choice of commerce industry.

The ambiance of our college is pretty good, and the teachers are well-qualified.

Faculty: Faculty members of our department are pretty good. Teachers are well-qualified and experienced. The way they teach is quite understandable. A lot of assignments and exams are taken for students to make them confident and well-prepared for everything.

Review of J.D Birla Institute.

Faculty: A few teachers are well-versed with their subjects, and few aren't. But all teachers are helpful, be it in academics or anything else. With the help of PPTs, the teachers manage to teach well. All the teachers are highly qualified.

I am satisfied with the curriculum, but the infrastructure can be improved.

Faculty: Some teachers are genuinely good and knowledgeable, but faculty members change very frequently, which might be a problem in most of the cases. Some teachers, like MS Manjulaxmi, are brilliant, and their teaching methodology is amazing. Some others may lack consistency in approach. The course curriculum is relevant, but pedagogy can be improved.

I had a good undergraduation experience at the main campus.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college were very helpful. You have to go and wait outside the staff room, and the teachers were willing to help you through your problems. You might need some time to gel in with the faculty members and their way of teaching, but it wasn't that difficult.

I am dissatisfied because of faculty members but the college offers good placements.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are very bad. All the good professor have left college. In the third year, new professors were recruited, but they are not qualified for the final year. College should recruit good professors and increase the quality of the college, especially for the final year students.

2nd Best College in Kolkata for B.Com (H) BBA.

Faculty: Course curriculum is totally based on the university. So I can just say that some changes are definitely required in terms of the order of subjects and teaching in the collective 3 years. The teachers are definitely amazing & helpful. More curricular activities must be there in the college because it's too limited.
