M.Sc in Chemistry - Batch of 2023

This college is the best place to pursue an M.Sc.
Placements: Placement at our college is good, but in my course, placement is not there because, after the M.Sc., you should do a Ph.D. or NET preparation. I don't know much about the names of the companies and placement in other courses. The percentage of students getting placed is around 70% for every course. I plan to continue teaching in schools and prepare for the NET exam.
Infrastructure: I'm from Uttar Pradesh, and to pursue further education, I came to Mumbai and studied very hard to get into Jai Hind College. I lived in the Colaba area, where there is a hostel for students named Prabhakar Hostel for boys and girls. I paid a total of 22,500 as hostel fees for one year. With that money, I got a room with 2 other college students, making it 3 students in a room. It was a 1 BHK flat with a bathroom and a kitchen provided. Meals were distributed 3 times a day, in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
Faculty: I would rate my Botany course as most relevant and good. I love learning about plants. It covers various topics like ecology and molecular biology. It helps us with jobs and research, and for students, it’s very helpful, along with internships. Some things can be made better, like having more internship opportunities, fieldwork, and lab job assistants, which keeps the lab well-maintained. If group work projects were included, it would be more fun. Also, more preference should be given to teaching and guiding for real-life jobs. Overall, the course is good, and exams are conducted well and disciplined.

It is a perfect blend of theory and industry exposure, which empowers future business leaders.
Placements: Jai Hind College, Mumbai, has a strong placement record with top recruiters like KPMG, EY, and ICICI Bank, which offer roles in finance, marketing, and consulting. The average salary package ranges between 4.5-6.8 LPA. Many students also opt for higher studies. The college also offers valuable internship opportunities to boost employability.
Infrastructure: I live in Malad, so the hostel is pretty amazing. I travel from Malad to Churchgate. In Mumbai, it is hard to find a good hostel or PG. I get good food and even security. It is the safest place, and it is just amazing. The hostel's name is Witty Hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, very supportive, and very energetic. It is worth every penny, and the course is a self-finance course. The BMS program at Jai Hind College, Mumbai, offers theory and practical learning through projects and internships, with strong industry exposure and events like the Talaash for careers in business, finance, and marketing.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: So, it's based on the skills like only skilled students are hired. The highest is 6 LPA. The lowest is around 2 LPA. The average is around 3.5 to 3.7 LPA. Deloitte and a lot of companies visit the college. In our batch, around 60 to 70% of students got internships. Web developer, cybersecurity, full-stack developer, and software developer roles are offered.
Infrastructure: We have projectors in all classes. There is very good infrastructure. We have updated PCs. The food and canteen are 5 star. Medical facilities are there. We have a basement for sports.
Faculty: They are very helpful. The only thing is that they put a lot of pressure on us to attendance. 40 to 50% is the pass percentage. They are moderate it's 80 % and even more if they are toppers. All of them get a very good CGPA from the first year only. Sometimes, it's 10 also.

It is the best college life in Mumbai.
Placements: The placement cell is a scam. They don't offer any company roles or jobs. The only thing they have is an internship cell and organize an Internship Fair where companies like Monk Entertainment and Souled Store come and offer internships. Talent Management, Video Editing, Social Media, and Ad agency roles are the top job roles offered.
Infrastructure: One of the best colleges in Mumbai in terms of infrastructure. The college has all the amenities like a library, auditorium, media lab, media room, computer labs, etc. The college has two canteens and also a xerox shop inside the campus. The quality is top-notch. I am satisfied with the overall infrastructure, however, there is no policy for hostel/accommodation.
Faculty: Visiting faculty, comprising industry professionals, regularly come to college to teach different subjects in the curriculum that help us gain theoretical as well as practical knowledge. The B.M.M. course is very practical in nature, which helps us get ready for the industry. We are given assignments like making a short film, documentary, or conducting market research, etc. The difficulty level of semester exams is medium to easy. About 90% of the students pass all the exams.
Other: It is the best college life. It's like a movie, you have fests and competitions happening every other day, meet so many new people, and try out so many activities in college itself. The crowd is also very nice.

Jai Hind College: All accessible college.
Placements: Almost 70% of students got placed from the course. I don't have specific details about the average package. Recruiting companies are KPMG and Morgan Stanley. I don't know the names of the companies but students get internships in all accounting-based backgrounds with my course. Roles offered are accounting, CFO, and analyst.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the best. It has Wi-Fi, AC, smart touchscreen devices which have ruled out the chalkboards, and German-based furniture to sit on. We have an AC library, e-library, science lab, computer room, and the bathrooms are too clean and hygienic, so basically 5 star in infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and good at explaining. They do make students industry-ready. Pass percentage is very high if students have gained the knowledge from classes. But sometimes since a bit of students are not from commerce background they face difficulties when it comes to accounting subjects.
Other: We have many sports actively happening in college, and there is a fest happening every second day which involves active participation and large crowd.

And many great job opportunities are provided as well, and the starting package is around 4 lakhs, and the highest is 15 lakhs. Many big companies like Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger came and gave job opportunities.
Infrastructure: Many excellent facilities are provided, like centralized ACs in every classroom, digital boards, and hi-tech teaching methods. The library is also excellent, with a very peaceful environment. The quality of food in the canteen is really very good, and the canteen is also very hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified, with excellent knowledge, and the whole faculty are professionals. The curriculum was so good and ready for students to learn, and many extracurricular activities were provided by the college, like sports, events, and self-growth competitions.
