What is GATE 2027 Application Status?
The GATE application status states the current position of your application form after submission. IIT Madras will begin GATE 2027 as per the GATE schedule. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully.

What does the GATE Application Form Under Scrutiny mean?
The GATE application form under scrutiny states that your application form is being reviewed. It’s a process of rectifying your information to verify your eligibility. The GATE authorities run a verification process, where they recheck whether all the details provided are correct.
NOTE: Candidates should not worry about this. If there is any discrepancy in the GATE registration 2027, the authorities will inform you of their registered email ID and mobile number.
Can I edit my GATE Application Form 2027 if it's under scrutiny?
Candidates cannot make any changes or edits if the GATE application is under the scrutinising process. In such cases, the GATE authorities will contact you personally via email or text.
Candidates must note the following -
- For any photo and signature discrepancies, GATE authorities will contact you via registered email ID or contact number
- For any other changes to be made in the form will be accessible during the GATE application form correction process

It is mainly because your bachelor's topics and chapters have the most weightage in the GATE question paper. The topics that are taught in your third year are the backbone. GATE application form correction process will begin after the registration process. The GATE 2027 form rectification facility will be available from October 14 to 21.
As per last year, the GATE registration fee can be checked below -
- For SC, ST, and PwD applicants is INR 1000 during the regular period and INR 1500 during extended period.
- For other candidates, including foreign nationals, the fee is INR 2000 (during the regular period) and INR 2500 during the extended timeline.
