Peaceful green campus but outdated curriculum and poor placements.
Placements: Statistics have been quite low compared to expectations, with only about 2% of students successfully placed through campus recruitment. The highest package offered in our course is around 14 LPA, while the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is approximately 5 LPA. Unfortunately, no reputed companies visit our campus for recruitment drives, which makes placements through the college almost negligible. Most students have to secure job opportunities off-campus through their own efforts and network.
Infrastructure: Computer engineering department provides essential facilities to support academic activities. Campus is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, which is generally good, though it sometimes faces minor connectivity issues during peak usage. The department has computer labs with updated systems and necessary software for programming and project work, allowing students to gain practical exposure. Classrooms are basic and functional, though they could be improved to feel less like those meant for small children and more aligned with a professional engineering environment. Library provides a decent collection of technical books and reference materials.
Faculty: In the computer engineering department, teachers are qualified in their respective fields. But the teaching approach is mostly limited to theoretical concepts. There is very little focus on practical or advanced industry-oriented topics. While the faculty provides the basic knowledge required for the curriculum, there is minimal exposure to real-world applications. Students often have to put in a lot of extra effort to learn skills that are actually in demand in the industry. The teaching quality can be considered average as it heavily relies on following textbooks and syllabus content rather than innovative or practical methods.
Other: I am a student of the computer engineering branch, and my passing-out batch is 2028. I chose this course because of my interest in technology, programming, and the growing demand for computer engineers in the industry. One of the best things about the course is that it provides a strong foundation in core computer science subjects, allowing students to build their knowledge from the basics. It also gives exposure to programming and problem-solving, which are essential skills in today's world.

The campus offers a peaceful, green environment, and most teachers are qualified and supportive.
Placements: The placement scenario for our course has been quite limited. Only about 2% of students secured placements through campus recruitment, indicating a significant gap between industry expectations and campus offerings. The highest package offered in our course is 6 LPA, while the lowest stood at around 2.4 LPA. The average package for placed students is approximately 3 LPA. Core companies rarely visit the campus, and most of the jobs offered are in non-core or IT services sectors. Due to this, many students rely on off-campus opportunities or plan for higher studies and competitive exams.
Infrastructure: The overall campus environment has both strengths and areas that need improvement. One of the major concerns is the condition of the hostel's washrooms. They are often not hygienic and lack proper maintenance. Cleanliness is consistent, and despite repeated complaints, the situation has not improved significantly. This affects the overall living experience for hostel residents. The mess facility on campus is compulsory for all hostel students, but the food quality is average and does not meet expectations.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are generally well-qualified, with most holding postgraduate or doctoral degrees in their respective fields. They are knowledgeable in their subjects and are usually approachable and willing to help students outside of class hours. Many teachers put in genuine effort to explain concepts clearly and support students academically. However, the overall teaching methodology is mostly theory-based, with limited focus on practical application.

    Decent college but limited opportunities.
Placements: Placements and internships are not that great. Only 40% of students got internships. Many of them are unpaid. Around 50% of students got placed. Many students get placed. The average package is around 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay. Classrooms are clean and spacious. We have a central library and limited Wi-Fi access. The hostel is not that great but liveable. The food is also not that good in terms of taste. Mostly students eat outside. Medical facilities are not there. We have limited sports.
Faculty: Faculty members are okay. They deliver lectures. They are not very approachable to students. The curriculum is not that great. It does not get regularly updated. External courses are required by students to become industry-ready. Exams are easy. The passing rate is above 90%.

Disappointing due to poor placement, remote location, and below-average hostel facilities.
Placements: Placements in our college are one of the major areas that need improvement. Very few students from the previous batch were placed, and most of them had to look for job opportunities off-campus. The college does have a placement cell, but the number of companies visiting is quite limited, and the roles offered are often not aligned with our core fields of study. The placement drives mostly include mass recruiters offering average or low packages, which is disappointing for many students who are genuinely skilled and looking for better opportunities.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities at our college could use improvement. While the hostels provide basic accommodation, they are not very well-maintained. Cleanliness is often an issue, especially in washrooms and common areas. Repair and maintenance work are usually delayed, and students sometimes have to wait a long time for basic issues like water leakage, broken lights, or damaged furniture to be fixed. The infrastructure is old, and there is a lack of proper ventilation in some rooms, which can make it uncomfortable during extreme weather.
Faculty: Our college faculty is good. They are well-qualified, experienced, and teach in a way that's easy to understand. Most of them are very supportive and always ready to help if we have doubts or need extra guidance. Their teaching covers the subjects well and helps us build a strong foundation, especially in core technical topics. However, one thing I feel could be better is that the teaching is mostly limited to the SPPU curriculum. While it covers the basics, it doesn't always include the latest industry trends or tools that are used in real jobs.
Other: I chose computer science, 2021-2025, due to my passion for technology and problem-solving. The course offers a strong coding foundation and practical learning. I wish there were more industry internships. The campus has vibrant fests, a good crowd, and great extracurriculars.

Not good placement in 2022 batch but Teachers and campus life were the best.
Placements: Not a good placement experience; very few companies hire in on-campus drives. L&T and Tata come to hire, with only 9 students out of 85 being placed. One company offered only 1.2 LPA, which is the worst. Most of us got internships in Tata Technology as apprentices. There is a need for improvement in placements.
Infrastructure: Old building, but well-maintained classrooms are good. Wi-Fi is not available in the college; only in computer labs, we can use the internet. The hostel has a separate gym for us, but the mess food is not good; most of us have food outside the hostel. In sports, our college is very active; if anyone wants a career in sports, proper training will be provided by the college.
Faculty: Teachers are top thing in our college, high qualified experienced with all knowledge in field. Course is from Savitribai phule University. Semester exams are moderate in level our class passing percentage is 75%. By my point of view course curriculum need to add new technologies that currently and in future used in industries.
Other: Never ask an engineer why he choose engineer, it hit him hard.

Raising its infrastructure, teaching staff, and campus life.
Placements: There is a college that provides every student with placement facilities, offering monthly salaries ranging from Rs 40,000 per month to Rs 60,000 per month through campus placements. Tata Techno companies offer internships through the college. A total of 220 students are placed in this course, with various roles offered to join jobs.
Infrastructure: At this college, the department and hostel are so good. The infrastructure provides the best Wi-Fi connection, 4 classrooms, 4 labs, and 1 library where all books are provided. The college canteen food is so tasty and yummy. There is a Jeem Khana Committee for sports and games.
Faculty: At this college, teachers are qualified in all subjects, with M.Tech teachers and professors available. The teaching is so good. This course is a total of 4 years, with 900 marks of paper and 8 semesters. There are 400 marks that are compulsory for the college to pass this exam.
