JGEC is good for campus life and to get a good placement in your hands.
Placements: Here, most placements are in non-core departments and placement is between 5 to 9 LPA, and the highest is 18 LPA. Here, 95 % students got placement in many reputed companies, and others chose a path for higher degrees like M.Tech, UPSC, and many others. There are many clubs for coding and studying other things.
Infrastructure: There are four hostels on our campus for each year, and one ladies' hostel. Hostel food is more delicious, and the hostel infrastructure is very beautiful. On the roof of our hostel, Kanchenjunga is clearly visible, and beside the hostel campus, a tea garden is present, so nature is beautiful. In the hostel, you get free Wi-Fi, and the hostel has a library.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and well qualified, often with good experience, many students find them helpful and approachable. Doubts cleared and idea is given for our students, like placements and projects from our teachers. JGEC is an autonomous college, so there is an opportunity to get a good CGPA.
Other: Mind it, JGEC is an autonomous college.

Our college(JGEC) is really good.
Placements: Jalpaiguri government engineering college placement is really good, as 90% were placed. Basically, the electrical engineering branch offers more placement and a good package offered by LNT, ADANI, etc. Perhaps another branch, such as civil, mechanical, CSE, or ECE, is a good placement. 70 % students got an internship opportunity offered by NTPC, BHEL, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college hostel is good for students. Here are many facilities and infrastructure available, such as Wi-Fi, labs, a classroom, and a library. Our college's food is basically mediocre. Different types of foods are available. In the weak, chicken, egg, fish, and other types are made by our hostel.
Faculty: Our college, JGEC, is more famous in North Bengal. Here, the teacher quality is better and the knowledge is. Basically, all teachers are Ph.D. holders from many different IITs. In our college, our semester exam is basically hard. In the exam, the pass mark is 40 out of 100. Our college is the best.
Other: My branch is electrical engineering. It is chosen because I am interested in circuit design, and I basically chose a government job. My college campus crowd is beautiful.

Faculty is decent, placement is better than most government colleges, and the college area is big.
Placements: Decent placement with core branches, getting nearly 100% placement. Non-core branches may get slightly less placement, but the package is good. Electrical usually gets 100% placement. The placement cell is good and takes aptitude tests very often. The alumni also refer students.
Infrastructure: Hostel and infrastructure may have slightly improved from previous years. Even though it's not the best, it's still good. Previously, it was quite degraded, and students made it worse. But now it's for the better, though it still needs improvements. Labs are a bit questionable.
Faculty: Faculty is good. Core branches have a very tight but flexible schedule. Non-core faculty are more friendly. Though all teachers help students in different things, such as syllabus, scholarship, and all. The attendance criteria are strict. Many cocarriculam activities are done in the clubs.
Other: As the college campus is big, there are fewer students compared to other colleges. It doesn't feel very overcrowded. Although classrooms could've been slightly bigger. Seniors are good and helpful. Ragging is not really an issue.

This is good college campus.
Placements: 95% of students were placed on campus. 54 LPA is the highest package, 4 LPA is the lowest package, and the average package is 10 LPA. Tata Motors is the top recruiting company for the course. 60% of students got internships from your course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the facilities like Wi-Fi, and labs are good, classrooms are very good, and there is a library. Hostels are good, and the quality of food is also very good. Medical facilities and sports are very good in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. This course curriculum is relevant,it makes the students industry-ready.

A detailed review of Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College.
Placements: Placement of the ECE department is good, nearly 90% of students got placed. Top recruiting companies like BEL, L&T, Birla, and Opus Paints. The top package offered is 12 LPA-18 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA-7 LPA. Students got internships in NIT Jamshedpur, Tata Power, L&T, DVC, etc. Top roles include senior production engineer and supply chain supervisor, or in the R&D department of companies.
Infrastructure: We have a big library with all the books needed for the curriculum. Students can borrow books for the whole semester. Wi-Fi and LAN ports are available in each classroom. At the hostel, we have a small library, a mess, and a canteen that is clean, and the food is good. The campus hospital provides the first aid required. We have a dedicated sports club, and one can enjoy it as much as they want.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They offer mentorship and guidance at each step of college life, one can contact their respective mentor for any help, and their teaching quality is interactive and super interesting. The curriculum is a little outdated, but it still focuses on the basics of ECE, and students with little effort will get very good skill sets. Sem exams are very detailed and focus on basics, and nearly 90%-95% of students pass the exams with good efforts being the key.

In our college, there were some good faculty and nice placements.
Placements: Top companies came and in our college pre-final year times, we conducted some training sessions for placement and skills, and 60% of students are placed in our college with the highest package of 8 LPA and the lowest are the 4 LPA. Top recruitment companies come for software and embedded .
Infrastructure: There were average facilities in our college and they were high priority for software fields and the classroom is okay. But in the lab session, there was no Wi-Fi connection properly. The labs are good but the systems are not working properly. The food quality is good.
Faculty: Mainly, our college teachers are very helpful because they give some suggestions for skills to crack the jobs. Mainly gaining knowledge and some semester exams are difficult, but that will be easy sometimes. The passing percentage is nearly 60%.
