Absolutely satisfied with placement, behaviour of the faculty members, and the infrastructure.

Placements: The percentage of students placed in our college in civil engineering department is 90 percent. The highest package is 12 LPA (on campus), and the lowest is 5 LPA, that's how it becomes 8.5 LPA on average. Top recruiting companies are L&T, BEL, TCS, etc. 100 percent of students get internships in their 3rd year in different companies like ECL and HPL as well as in IITs, NITs, for research internships.

Infrastructure: Our college provides us labs, proper classrooms are there with projectors, and library for self-studies and books. There are separate departmental buildings, and each of them has different labs and facilities in them. Hostels are also good. Food is almost homelike. Canteens are available every 200 meters. Medical facilities are there. More than 3 big grounds are there. Volleyball court, basketball court, cricket ground, and all games and sports equipments are also there. I think our college is in a very good locality, and has a beautiful campus, it is just there is lack of maintenance.

Faculty: In our civil engineering department, teachers are so cooperative and helpful. Each of them has teaching experience and treats us as their children. They train the students to become industry-ready. Semester examinations are also upto the mark to check out knowledge.

About JGEC (campus, hostel, placements).

Placements: Placements for non-core branches at JGEC are quite good. Top companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, etc., visit every year. Students with good communication skills easily get placed with 6 LPA - 8 LPA packages. Few even crack higher offers through off-campus drives. The TNP cell and seniors are very supportive, even the non-core students have ample opportunities.

Infrastructure: Hostel life is lively. Well-ventilated and spacious rooms are present. The hostels are surrounded by greenery, which gives a calm vibe. It provides 24-hour water and electricity in the hostels. Mess food is average but hygienic. There is a canteen nearby that offers snacks, tea, etc. The library provides thousands of books.

Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, approachable, and supportive. Professors explain concepts clearly and even guide students for GATE research and placements. Labs and assignments help develop hands-on skills (especially in technical subjects). Academics feel balanced and manageable.

Faculty is decent, placement is better than most government colleges, and the college area is big.

Placements: Decent placement with core branches, getting nearly 100% placement. Non-core branches may get slightly less placement, but the package is good. Electrical usually gets 100% placement. The placement cell is good and takes aptitude tests very often. The alumni also refer students.

Infrastructure: Hostel and infrastructure may have slightly improved from previous years. Even though it's not the best, it's still good. Previously, it was quite degraded, and students made it worse. But now it's for the better, though it still needs improvements. Labs are a bit questionable.

Faculty: Faculty is good. Core branches have a very tight but flexible schedule. Non-core faculty are more friendly. Though all teachers help students in different things, such as syllabus, scholarship, and all. The attendance criteria are strict. Many cocarriculam activities are done in the clubs.

Other: As the college campus is big, there are fewer students compared to other colleges. It doesn't feel very overcrowded. Although classrooms could've been slightly bigger. Seniors are good and helpful. Ragging is not really an issue.

JGEC is good for campus life and to get a good placement in your hands.

Placements: Here, most placements are in non-core departments and placement is between 5 LPA and 9 LPA. The highest package is 18 LPA here. 95% of students got placed in any reputed company, and others chose a path for higher education like M.Tech, UPSC, and many others. There are many clubs for coding and studying other things.

Infrastructure: There are four hostels on our campus for each year, and one ladies' hostel. The hostel food is more delicious, and the hostel infrastructure is very beautiful. In our hostel, the roof of Kanchenjunga is clearly visible, and beside the hostel, a tea garden is present, so nature is beautiful.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and well qualified, often with good experience, and many students find them helpful and approachable. Doubts cleared, and an idea was given for our students, such as placements and projects from our teachers. JGEC is an autonomous college so there is an opportunity to get a good CGPA.

Other: Mind it, JGEC is an autonomous college.

Satisfied because of the placement in 2025.

Placements: Placements in this college are above average. The most important part is the placement in the core domain (EE, ME, CE) outperforms the non-core department for the 2025 batch. Almost 90% students from my course got placed in reputed companies like L&T, Reliance, MN Dastur, Woods, TEECL, etc. The highest package of 12 LPA was offered by BEL (A PSU under Ministry Of Defence) and the lowest package of 4.8 LPA is offered by ASAHI Glass. Internship record for my batch is also very good with many students securing internships at renowned companies like CESC, Simens, MN Dastur, etc. Almost every student gets internship after 3rd year.

Infrastructure: It is a state government college established in 1961, so do not expect very modern infrastructure here. Still adequate, and a number of well-equipped classrooms are present there. Various labs are also present. Some labs are quite good and well-maintained like Power Electronics. Our college also has a central library with a wide collection of books. There are 4 boys hostels - one for each year from first to fourth, and only one girls' hostel. Every boarder can access free Wi-Fi in their rooms. Hostel rent is 16000 INR per semester. This rent includes lunch and dinner only. Also boarder can eat evening snacks at minimal cost from the hostel canteen.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and highly qualified. Teaching style of some teachers is really excellent while you can not understand anything from some teachers. Teachers also encourage students to actively participate in projects, and internships apart from normal course curriculum. The difficulty level of semester exams is moderate. You can easily pass some subjects by just studying 2 nights before exam while some subjects need very good preparation.
