Yes, JGBS offers full-time PhD (with or without fellowship) and part-time PhD (without fellowship) for a minimum duration of three years and maximum of six years. Candidates who have passed a master's degree equivalent thereto in Business Administration or Economics or Commerce or in allied subjects or in Engineering/ Technology with at least 55% aggregate or PG Diploma in Management recognised as equivalent to MBA by AICTE or professional qualification, such as CA/ICWA/CFA/CS (both 5 years integrated or 3 years after graduation) with minimum 55% aggregate can apply for the PhD course. Admission to the PhD course is based on entrance exam score.

The fee excludes one-time refundable security deposit of INR 50,000 and residential fee of INR 2.31 lakh per annum. There is a other allied service charge of INR 1.25 lakh as well. Students have to pay the Semester fee and the Residential Charges semester wise.

Aspirants who have not appeared for any of the national-level entrance exams can appear for JGU Research Aptitude Test (RAT). Post successful research entrance exam, candidate has to appear for an Interview with the School Doctoral Committee (SDC). Candidate has to present his/ her tentative research idea referring the current state of knowledge & recent development from the proposed area of research. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants need to pay a total tuition fee.
