Q: What is the difference between the syllabus of Andhra Pradesh LAWCET and the syllabus of CLAT?
A:
Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. CLAT generally covers the deeper aspects of the particular subject.

Best college in making a personality rather than just making their students chase marks.
Placements: Katni Arts and Commerce College is very supportive in getting its students a good placement. About 75%-80% of students got offered packages of a minimum of 8 LPA and above. The faculty conducts trials of interviews with possible questions that may be asked by the interview, which helps in making our appearance and presentation attractive and strong enough to secure placements.
Infrastructure: As of now, there's no hostel in the college, but the building for the B.Com department is very big and has facilities like air-conditioned classes with digital boards. The canteen has very tasty food with complete maintenance of hygiene, and does not cost any extra money.
Faculty: Teachers and professors in the college are supportive and always helpful for every query and every doubt in and out of class. Semester exams are hard, but do not contain questions out of the syllabus, making us think outside the box.

Professors are well-educated.
Placements: The percentage of students placed from a particular course and batch. Along with the highest, lowest, and average package offered in that course. It is very useful. The top companies that recruit students from that specific course are also important. The percentage of students who secure internships and the companies where they intern are valuable details as well.
Infrastructure: The academic facilities include Wi-Fi availability, speed, and reliability. Specific labs relevant to our course or department with proper equipment and good conditions. Classroom size and comfort, availability of projectors and whiteboards, and the overall learning environment. The library has a good collection size, digital resources, study space, and maintains quietness. The college does not provide hostel facilities to students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is outstanding. They explain everything in a way that students can easily understand. The curriculum needs improvement in many ways. They use semester-based exams, which include three internals that take much time, wasting time for mugging up. There is no practical use of such exams, but overall, they are quite good.
Other: I chose this course because it is more useful in my intended profession in commerce. The positive aspects and strengths of this course, such as the curriculum, faculty, and learning environment, are very good at our college. Our college also organizes most of the events like fests, sports, induction meets, scholarships, and activities around the campus.

Review of Katni Arts & Commerce College.
Placements: Many finance-related companies like Bajaj and Muthoot Finance conduct seminars in our college. But placements are not offered. Our college is situated in a small city, so reputed companies do not visit the campus for placements. Even there are no internship opportunities. There is no placement cell. Our college organises an event named Placement Mela, where small scale companies participate, and many students get placements. The highest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The college provides all facilities like bus, free wi-fi, smart classrooms, sports and games, the library and other facilities. There is no hostel facility available here. Even canteen is not available here. I am facing issues as the campus is very small. Even there is no garden. The quality of labs and classrooms is quite good.
Faculty: Every teacher in our college was very helpful. All the teachers are well qualified and have lots of knowledge about their course. They are knowledgeable. Thew quality of teaching was the best. Every teacher gives their best for every student. The teaching method used by them was theory with practicals. We did not get industry exposure. The course curriculum was quite useful.
Other: Events and several fests were organised by the college.

Poor college: Katni Arts and Commerce.
Placements: This college only wants money from you, and there are no proper toilets and stuff. On the other hand, while taking admission, they will do anything, but now they just raise their hands and say we cannot do anything, it is the university's fault.
Infrastructure: There are old classrooms and zero infrastructure. They took 2 years to build 2 rooms beside the college, and there's not even a proper parking space.
Faculty: Zero faculty. They even check the answer sheet incorrectly and take more and more money from you. Teachers are old and rude. The principal is rude. I don't know what's good with them they just try to show off a lot of stuff. No one loves them.
Other: They can't even afford any functions in college they need to get money from the students first, and they force you to participate, then take more money.
