    The applications for Lakshmibai College that run simultaneously with DU registrations for undergraduate courses via CUET 2023 (for UG programmes) began on Feb 10, 2023, and were open till Mar 30. Additionally, for admission to postgraduate courses, CUET-PG registrations for the 2023 session started on Mar 20 and were open till May 5. Interested students were able to apply online on the official website of CUET UG and CUET PG. 

    The CUET UG exam was scheduled to take place between held from May 21 to Jun 8, 2023, and the results were announced in June.     Q:   How can I get admission to Lakshmibai College?
    A: 

    In 2022, Lakshmibai College (like all DU affiliated colleges) adopted CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses. Lakshmibai College admission 2023 for UG courses (as per DU) will be through Common Seat Allocation System of the University of Delhi. But, at first, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:

    Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.

    Step 2: Submit Lakshmibai College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard. Here student must select their preferred course and college as the option. 

    Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists which will be out on August 1, August 10 and August 22, 2023, respectively for all categories. 

    Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the Lakshmibai College will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification. 

    Step 5: Once Lakshmibai College accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.

    Q:   Can I get into Lakshmibai College without CUET?
    A: 

    No, Lakshmibai College admission to all the courses, i.e., undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, is entrance-based. While this DU-affiliated college accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, such as BA, BSc, BCom and admission to all the postgraduate courses is subject to the CUET- PG exam starting admission 2023. Lakshmibai College along with DU started accepting CUET UG starting 2022 and the CUET PG from 2023 session onward. Before this, admission to undergraduate was based on merit in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU.

    Q:   Is there a way to apply to Lakshmibai College offline?
    A: 

    No, there is no offline method of application at Lakshmibai College. All the candidates must apply through the centralised entrance exam's official website, i.e., the official websites of CUET UG and CUET PG exam. After the COVID years and after the introduction of CUET UG and CUET PG for admission to Lakshmibai College and other DU-affiliated colleges, the application process has shifted full-time to the online mode. Candidates can register on the official websites of the respective exam, fill out the online application forms, pay the course-wise application fee and appear for the exam to become eligible. For final admission, shortlisted and pass-out students of CUET UG and CUET PG are required to register on the CSAS portal for final admission and seat allocation process.  

    Q:   Can I choose only 3 subjects in CUET UG for Lakshmibai College admission in 2023?
    A: 

    No, an applicant can choose a maximum of 10 courses of each university for the CUET UG test. The application fee also varies according to the number of programmes selected. The different slabs of CUET UG 2023 application fees are three programmes, seven programmes and 10 programmes. During the CUET 2023 application correction window, students can change the courses or increase or decrease the selected courses.

    As per guidelines released by DU (affiliating university of Lakshmibai College, candidates must take DU CUET 2023 only in subjects that they have cleared in Class 12. There are a total of 13 languages in which a student can appear for CUET UG 2023. These include Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu. The subject choice of student seeking to get into Lakshmibai College must be in accordance with the interested courses a student wants to pursue.

    Philosophizing Lakshmibai.
    Placements: The college doesn't have any placement opportunities at all. And don't think that it's because of the course I've opted for; it is the overall condition of the college. They'll conduct many seminars and stuff to show that they are doing something, but it is all useless because it won't help you get anywhere.
    Infrastructure: They don't provide you with hostel facilities, so you have no other choice left but to live in PGs and waste your money there. Let me tell you that PGs are very expensive in that area even with bare minimum facilities. The infrastructure of the college is not that bad, so you will like the buildings and canteen per se.
    Faculty: As far as the faculty is concerned, for M.A. students we have to attend classes in the Arts Faculty in North Campus, so I can't say anything firmly about the faculty, but the admin department is bad. They are very rude, useless, and lazy. They'll make you roam around even in 50-degree temperatures for nothing.
    Other: The Philosophy course seamlessly bridges classical theories with modern-day issues, fostering critical thinking in students. Beyond ancient philosophers, the curriculum explores contemporary debates like AI ethics and climate change. This relevance equips students with essential skills to navigate today's information landscape. The program's flexibility allows for personalized learning, with electives covering diverse topics such as feminist philosophy and Indian traditions. Ultimately, students emerge not only with knowledge but also with sharpened critical thinking abilities, preparing them for success in both their personal and professional lives. Hence, in short, the course is really nice but not this college. The fest and all are okayish, but the main purpose is studying, which is not that good.

    Atmosphere is very good and silence with cold breeze is icing on cake.
    Placements: Many companies came in the campus for placements but there are no particular placements for sanskrit department. Most of the students percuse Ph.D. and NET exams after M.A. In this course. Some other chooses teaching profession in schools nad colleges.
    Infrastructure: Our college has a Wi-Fi campus and a very big library. Classrooms are preety good in our campus. Various practical labs are also available in our campus. There hostel facility is also available in our campus All facilities provided are very well ad good.
    Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. Teachers are holding Ph.D. degree. As M.A. Sanskrit student teachers are good enough to teach their subjects. Curriculum is very relevant. Exams are quite difficult. Passing percentage is 40 percent in our college.
    Other: I quite like this subject. It gives us knowledge of our history. Nothing There are lots of scholarship in our university. Fests and events are very happening.
