Q: Can I start a law practice without a Law degree or become a lawyer?

No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India.

LJD Law College Admission Process 2025

LJD Law College admissions are based on merit. The institute considers applications of candidates meeting the eligibility criteria. LJD Law College offers courses at UG levels. Some of the courses include B.A. LL.B. Candidates can apply online for the preferred course.

Review of LJD Law College.

Placements: I am a student at LJD Law College, and I am still studying. In our batch, no one got any placement. However, students who are passed out got some opportunities not in any companies but they got offers from many advocates from different courts. Students who got placed are now in a good position.

Infrastructure: My course is B.A. L.L.B. We don't need any labs but we do need a moot court and our college already has a moot court room. There is no hostel in our college. If we ask for any hostel we will be redirected to other hostels. So I will not recommend any students for our college hostels but I recommend them for studies.

Faculty: The college has a very good ambiance. All staff members and teachers are well-behaved and very friendly. The course curriculum definitely makes every student ready for their future and career. Semester exams are not really tough if we study well we will pass exams. 30% is the pass percentage.

Other: I chose this course because I always wondered how a criminal case is solved and how a lawyer solves a case. This curiosity made my mind and I decided to join B.A. L.L.B. I chose this college because it is quite good. It would be better if our college hosts any programs but my college does not host any programs.

Experience yourself in LJD.

Placements: The college doesn't provide placement as such, but does provide the firm associated with the college and helps in finding new opportunities in the law field by providing unfilled knowledge and will provide with new senior lawyers to make a path of our own.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is beyond words. The main campus located in the outskirts of Falta has an impressive view of nature, and the new college in the outskirts of Tollygunge holds another view within the area. It's built with proper moot courts, library, canteen facility, as well as a conference room.

Faculty: The faculty members of my term were quite helpful when it comes to studies and helped us in every field necessary and guided with proper notes and questions in hand before exams, and were cooperative when anything was needed in terms of subject or any other opinion; they would welcome with open hands and solve our doubts.

Other: It's a very memorable batch; we were the 2nd batch of the college. As it was very new, it was good to SEE the college build up with new students every year, and the responsibility of the admin increased day by day. It was all in all wonderful.

Our college is great with good opportunities for the future.

Placements: In this college, a huge percentage of students take admission in this course. The packages are good that are offered for the students. Various law firms recruit pass-out students for the job. The internships opportunity is very high for the student, and various high roles are offered in the course.

Infrastructure: This college has very smooth Wi-Fi, and the classrooms are always clean. The hostels are good, and the mess is very much clean with average quality food. The other extracurricular activities are very interesting.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive toward the students. The semester exams are good and difficult for the students. The percentage to pass the exam is 55% so, the students need to work hard. The curriculum is very good.

Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in law. People need to know about this course more because it is very interesting.

It's very fun and charming.

Placements: In my college, if a general category student has above 40% in higher secondary, then it is good to go for my college. The maximum higher package offered by my college is around 8-9 Lacs per annum, and the average package is around 5-6 Lacs per annum. My college has its own law firm, so after the students complete the 9th semester, they are posted to their law firm.

Infrastructure: My college has two branches: one at Taligounge and another at Falta. The Falta branch has great hostel facilities, and in both branches, there is Wi-Fi in every class, a lift, one canteen, and one moot court for competitions.

Faculty: The teachers and facilities are very helpful, but the fees at my college are a little higher than others. The semester exams are not really difficult. If you study well, you will pass. But you have to study, and besides that, you can also enjoy your life.
