For reserved category students, the admission criteria for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College & Hospital is based on the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) exam. The minimum marks required for admission to BDS course for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes is 40th percentile, & for candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile. Candidates must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English individually & must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Biotechnology at the qualifying examination.
