The college infrastructure and ambience are very good.

Placements: I am currently in first year of engineering, so my placements are in 2029. My seniors get placed in good companies with very good or decent packages. Some reputed companies also visit my college for placements, and all are good.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. Labs are clean and high-tech. Every classroom has air conditioning. We also have a Wi-Fi connection and drinking water coolers. The college has a central canteen and a café.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and good at teaching. They are well-qualified. Most faculty members are Ph.D. holders, so they teach very well. They also teach industry-related skills to every student. Semester exams are very easy, and we passed with a score of 26 out of 60.

Mediocre college, nothing more nothing less.

Placements: College placements are good. You must have good skills. You will get placed. 20% to 50% of the students get placed. The starting package is 4 LPA or 4.5 LPA. If you're skills are not that good, then you will get 2.6 LPA package. Software companies and other job roles are offered. We get companies like Capgemini, Accenture, and Infosys to come sometime.

Infrastructure: College campus is good. All the infrastructure is good. The PCs and Wi-Fi have been upgraded. This year, the hostel food is good. There is a canteen named Poshan. It is also good and we get a big campus as there are medical facilities here. Medical camps are also there. Sports and games are played very well, and organized in our college fest, named Mangalam.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. If you are a talented or a quick learner, then you will ask many questions. Teachers will help you all the time. Course curriculum is relevant, and we get the industry ready. Because of the curriculum, the semester exams are difficult as usual. It is up to you how much study you do. The passing percentage is 65%, and I guess 50% something.

Overall, above average in most categories.

Placements: Placements are above average, and seniors are satisfied but not exceptional, possibly what one would expect while getting admission into this college. Still depends on the student's grades and skills college is not very helpful with that. Multiple courses are provided which is good.

Infrastructure: Facilities are good. There is no auditorium just a small seminar hall. The college building is quite average. Hostel facilities are good. Two canteens at reasonable prices and a cafe with good services. Medical college and hospital are just beside in case of a medical emergency.

Faculty: The course is under Mumbai University (NEP2020). Faculty is average. But can find helpful teachers if needed (not all of them). The curriculum is of Mumbai University, and exams are conducted accordingly. Difficulty level for the exams is average, and multiple chances are given.

Other: They have started taking up interest in organizing more events.

Good faculty with less crowd and decent infrastructure.

Placements: Placement rate of our colleges is 70%. The highest package of all colleges is 15 LPA, and the average package of our college is 4 LPA. The top recruiters are Cap, meaning Infosys, ICIC, Snapdeal, Tata Consultancy, JP Morgan, ShareChat, and for civil students. There are many start-ups to get a place in the average package.

Infrastructure: There are no hostels available for engineering students, only for MBBS and Medical students. College libraries are very good and structured with a subscription based model. The AC classrooms are there, and their canteen also provides budget friendly food for engineering students. The quality of food is decent, according to its price.

Faculty: The percentage of our college passing is 75%. Teachers are highly qualified and well experience with more than 20 years of experience. Exams are a little bit harder than those at other colleges in Navi Mumbai. The training and placement cell can be conducted every year for second year and third year students for industry ready training. Our qualified staff are very polite with students.

Other: Our campus is very large with OB ground and parking with a lake view.

Review on M. G. M college of engineering kamothe Navi Mumbai.

Placements: The highest package is around 5-7 lacs, the average package is 3-4.5 lacs, and the lowest is 1.2 lacs. I am not in my fourth year, so the professors and other faculty members are not interested in informing us about placements. There are only banners of around 30-40 companies coming to the college. I have never seen those companies, but okay. I don't know how many students secure on-campus internships, but I don't think it's above 20-30%. The college sends some paid internship courses to the official group, which we have to pay for, and they don't tell us whether it's worth it or not.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the labs. Whenever you connect the lab PC to Wi-Fi, it only works for 10-15 minutes. The ground floor was assigned to nursing students, and now we think they will give the first floor too. The library is present, but there is a lab professor who always tells us not to sit in groups. It's nonsense; we go to the library to help each other, study, or discuss mini projects. The worst part of the library is that you have to write your name.

Faculty: We have doubts about whether they are professors or just B.E. engineers who couldn't get jobs and became professors. I don't think they are knowledgeable because, as you can see, they come in and read from the PPT that was created by AI, and they just read it, and the syllabus is done.

Other: Anyone thinking of joining the college should think twice; this is not the college you expect. College professors always say that sports are your extracurricular activities, and you have to focus only on your studies. Why shouldn't sports be someone’s passion? They don’t allow it, if you don’t complete your 75% attendance, you fail. On fest days, like traditional day, department day, etc., they don’t give us a holiday but say to enjoy those days because they never come back.

MGM has good infrastructure with affordable fees.

Placements: MGM CET comes under tier 3 college in Navi Mumbai. They are affiliated by Mumbai University. About placement in this college, students from CS and EXTC branches are placed. The placement average from my course is 20% to 30%, the highest package is 20 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. TCS and Infosys come for hiring students. The college doesn’t have a good internship record. Software engineers and telecom engineers are hired in my MGM college.

Infrastructure: MGM College has a huge campus in Navi Mumbai. The college building is fully white and has a huge campus. There are 7 to 8 computer labs only for CS students, and one floor is booked only for the EXTC department. The college has good entrance through GATE and has 5 floors, while civil and mechanical departments have 2 floors in a different building. The college has two canteens on campus and one cafe. There is also a basketball court and a cricket playground in the college campus.

Faculty: MGM CET is an old college, and therefore the faculty is available in good amount. But faculty is not from IIT except in the EXTC branch. The course curriculum makes you relevant, but there are some issues like lack of practical skill knowledge and being industry-ready, it depends on you how you think about MGM. In one semester, there are 2 unit tests exams for 20 marks each and one semester exam for 60 marks. The college executes moderate exams and comes under Mumbai University, in the unit test exam, you should get 8 marks in each unit test to pass, and in the semester exam, 24 marks.

Other: I chose this course due to my dad, and MGM is good for the EXTC branch. EXTC has future scope after CSE, and in India, VLSI manufacturing companies will come in the future. The course gives more practical knowledge compared to theoretical knowledge, so in MGM, this course would be the best forever. The college provides MAHA DBT scholarship for EBC and OBC students, for fees, they reduce 50% tuition fees for students under 8 lakh income. The college conducts Mangalam Fest, sports, and annual functions, and the college has a huge campus. Connectivity for MGM includes an auto stand and one bus stop.
