B.E. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2027
4.2

Good faculty with less crowd and decent infrastructure.
Placements: Placement rate of our colleges is 70%. The highest package of all colleges is 15 LPA, and the average package of our college is 4 LPA. The top recruiters are Cap, meaning Infosys, ICIC, Snapdeal, Tata Consultancy, JP Morgan, ShareChat, and for civil students. There are many start-ups to get a place in the average package.
Infrastructure: There are no hostels available for engineering students, only for MBBS and Medical students. College libraries are very good and structured with a subscription based model. The AC classrooms are there, and their canteen also provides budget friendly food for engineering students. The quality of food is decent, according to its price.
Faculty: The percentage of our college passing is 75%. Teachers are highly qualified and well experience with more than 20 years of experience. Exams are a little bit harder than those at other colleges in Navi Mumbai. The training and placement cell can be conducted every year for second year and third year students for industry ready training. Our qualified staff are very polite with students.
Other: Our campus is very large with OB ground and parking with a lake view.

B.E. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2027
1.2
2Placements1Infrastructure1Faculty1Crowd & Campus Life1Value for Money
Review on M. G. M college of engineering kamothe Navi Mumbai.
Placements: The highest package is around 5-7 lacs, the average package is 3-4.5 lacs, and the lowest is 1.2 lacs. I am not in my fourth year, so the professors and other faculty members are not interested in informing us about placements. There are only banners of around 30-40 companies coming to the college. I have never seen those companies, but okay. I don't know how many students secure on-campus internships, but I don't think it's above 20-30%. The college sends some paid internship courses to the official group, which we have to pay for, and they don't tell us whether it's worth it or not.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the labs. Whenever you connect the lab PC to Wi-Fi, it only works for 10-15 minutes. The ground floor was assigned to nursing students, and now we think they will give the first floor too. The library is present, but there is a lab professor who always tells us not to sit in groups. It's nonsense; we go to the library to help each other, study, or discuss mini projects. The worst part of the library is that you have to write your name.
Faculty: We have doubts about whether they are professors or just B.E. engineers who couldn't get jobs and became professors. I don't think they are knowledgeable because, as you can see, they come in and read from the PPT that was created by AI, and they just read it, and the syllabus is done.
Other: Anyone thinking of joining the college should think twice; this is not the college you expect. College professors always say that sports are your extracurricular activities, and you have to focus only on your studies. Why shouldn't sports be someone’s passion? They don’t allow it, if you don’t complete your 75% attendance, you fail. On fest days, like traditional day, department day, etc., they don’t give us a holiday but say to enjoy those days because they never come back.

Overall, above average in most categories.
Placements: Placements are above average, and seniors are satisfied but not exceptional, possibly what one would expect while getting admission into this college. Still depends on the student's grades and skills college is not very helpful with that. Multiple courses are provided which is good.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. There is no auditorium just a small seminar hall. The college building is quite average. Hostel facilities are good. Two canteens at reasonable prices and a cafe with good services. Medical college and hospital are just beside in case of a medical emergency.
Faculty: The course is under Mumbai University (NEP2020). Faculty is average. But can find helpful teachers if needed (not all of them). The curriculum is of Mumbai University, and exams are conducted accordingly. Difficulty level for the exams is average, and multiple chances are given.
Other: They have started taking up interest in organizing more events.

B.Tech in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2020

Good college to take admission for B. Tech.
Placements: 70% of students got placed from the batch. Package varies from 5 LPA-12 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TechM and L&T. Almost all of the students got internships. Construction manager and trainee site engineer roles are offered. The placement ratio is good as compared to other institutions.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is top-notch. No hostel facility is available. There are huge ground for sports. All kinds of sports and activities are played. Canteen is good, clean, hygienic and provides good quality meals at an affordable price. Labs, classrooms, and library all are clean and well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and possess strong subject knowledge. Most of them hold advanced degrees and have several years of teaching experience. They are approachable, supportive, and always ready to clarify doubts. The teaching quality is commendable, with a good balance of theory and practical application. Many professors also bring in real-world examples to enhance understanding. Course curriculum is relevant for the future.

Mahatma Gandhi Mission College of Engineering and Technology, Kamothe, Navi Mumbai.
Placements: More than 50% of students are placed. The average package is above 5 LPA. The highest package is 22 LPA. The lowest package is 3 LPA. Tata, Infosys, Capgemini, and other companies recruit for our course. All students are satisfied with jobs they get.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available everywhere. We have 2 canteens 1 central canteen and 1 entrance canteen. There is also a cafe called Poshan and a CCD network. Our ground is huge, and we encourage a lot of sports. The college interior is good. We have great infrastructure. There are lots of amenities like a gym, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members are all well-educated. Most of our faculty members have a Ph.D. All of them are well-maintained and teach very nice. All teachers are helpful and friendly. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It does make students industry-ready.
Other: I chose computer engineering. My course offers a lot of detailed learning about software coding and related topics. An annual fest is conducted every year called MANGALAM. It goes on for almost a month, which includes cultural, sports, and technical events.

B.E. in Biomedical Engineering - Batch of 2029
4.8
4Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Excellent facilities with good faculty, above-average placements, and good infrastructure.
Placements: Percentage of students getting placed is near about 80-85%. 40-50% students get placed even before graduation. However, the highest package isn't that high; it's around 5 LPA, whereas the minimum package is around 2.5 LPA. Recruiting companies are Thyrocare, Medtronic, etc. Internship students vary from 50-60%. Roles offered are Medical Technician, Asst. Medical Technician, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of MGM College of Engineering, Kamothe is very good. It has vast grounds, canteens, cafes, and acquires a huge area of land. The BME course is in the engineering building. The building has tiled flooring all over with lift facilities for students too. It has washrooms and water filters on every floor. Wi-Fi is available in the seminar hall, which is available for students to sit in. The library is huge with two furnished reading rooms and a huge collection of books. Classrooms have normal benches and fans. Some classrooms have projectors as well. There is no hostel managed by the college.
Faculty: Teachers in BME are highly qualified. Professors are well-experienced and they come from top-tier colleges. Teachers are helpful too and ensure that biomedical engineering students gain most of the knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant, and the BME department also provides extra courses which are helpful in building a stronger resume. 1st and 8th-semester exams have question papers coming from the university, whereas the rest of the semester exams are prepared by the college itself. Difficulty ranges from Mid-High. The passing percentage as per year is: 1st year: 35-40%, 2nd year: 75-80%, 3rd and 4th year: 80-90%.
Other: I study Biomedical Engineering here. BME is a unique course which is still unknown to many. It serves as a mixture of medical and engineering, which is quite interesting. The annual event in the college is known as "Mangalam." Extracurricular activities like official and unofficial sports events, seminars, webinars, and competitions take place regularly and are informed to students via notices and WhatsApp groups. Government scholarships are provided to eligible candidates, and the college also provides some by themselves.
