Candidates who have complete a two-years master's or a MPhil degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent are eligible to apply for MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences PhD programme. Applicants with MTech/ BTech/ ME/ MS qualification in relevant disciplines with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks and with 60% aggregate in Class 10, Class 12 and BTech/ BE is also considered eligible.

The total tuition fee for the full-time PhD course of MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences and Research is INR 5.3 lakh. Some other components may also be included in the total fees. Hence, for admission, it is necessary that the aspirant fulfils the course-specific eligibility requirements. Candidates with a BSc degree passed with at least 50% aggregate can apply. However, the aspirants can also contact the admission office to enquire about the direct admission under management quota (if available).

The admission procedure begins at the school with the release of application forms.
