National Academy of Media and Events Admission 2025: Fees, Selection Process, Eligibility & Dates

NAME Kolkata admission 2026 process has started. The institute offers Diploma courses in fields such as: Event Management, DJing and Music Production, Photography, and Modeling & Grooming. There are both online and on-campus one-year courses to choose from.

NAME has a merit based admission process and accepts Class 12 scores for the same. The institute offers certificate and Diploma courses to the students. The application process is conducted in the online mode via the official NAME website.

There is no entrance exam system at the National Academy of Media and Events for admission. 

Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, and everyone is welcome. To be admitted to the academy, applicants must justify their desire to study event management. Applicants must also pass an aptitude test administered by NAME, followed by a personal interview, in order to be admitted to certain courses offered by the National Academy of Media and Events. Applications for event management courses are currently being accepted by the academy.

NAME has a two fold eligibility requirement for Diploma admissions. The eductaional requirement is passing Class 12 in any stream from a recognsied education board. The age requirement is having a minimum age of 16 years. The selection criteria is merit based with the institute accepting Class 12 scores for the same.

There is no cutoff system for Certificate Courses at National Academy of Media and Events. Admission is based on a first-come-first-serve basis and is open to all.

Four specializations are offered by the institute as full-time and part-time Diploma programs. All Diploma programs, with the exception of acting for screen and stage specialization, require a personal interview after the NAME aptitude test.

Those interested in the Acting for Screen and Stage specialisation only need to show up for the interview phase. Diploma programs last anywhere from six months to a year. Applicants may apply for Diploma courses if they have completed their Class 12 coursework.

National Academy of Media and Events offers professional Diploma and certification courses for candidates. Some of the courses offered by the institute are: Certification in Digital Marketing and Social Media, professional Diploma in Event Design and Management, and Certification in Wedding Planning and Décor. Candidates are shown a list of all the offered courses at the time of filling out the application process.

 The fee for Diploma courses ranges between INR 55,000 - INR 1.42 Lacs at the National Academy of Media and Events Kolkata.

The fee for Diploma courses at the National Academy of Media and Events, Kolkata ranges between INR 65,000 to INR 1.2 Lacs (120000). The Academy offers three UG level Diploma courses namely the Professional Diploma in Event Design and Management, Professional Diploma in branding and marketing and Diploma in commercial photography. It also offers 6 certificate courses. The fee structure of the academy has multiple components like tution fee, caution deposit, hostel and mess charges, etc. Some of these components are one-time payments at the time of admission and others are paid semester-wise. These fees are subject to change and the caution deposit will be refunded at the time of completion of the degree. 

The certification courses have a fee range between INR 40,000 to 76,500.
