Following the NAME aptitude test, all Diploma programs—aside from acting for screen and stage specialization—require a personal interview.The only requirement for those interested in the Acting for Screen and Stage specialisation is to attend the interview stage. Programs for diplomas can run from six months to a year. If a candidate has finished their Class 12, they may apply for Diploma courses.

The course was well received by the students.The NAME Kolkata official website makes no mention of a placements cell. It does, however, offer its students placement opportunities.Employers such as Event Capital, Wizcraft, Reliance Entertainment, Showhouse, and Inner Circle Advertising are among the leading companies that have employed graduates of this school over time. The salary offered to students ranges from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 per month, according to verified student reviews on Shiksha. Although the academy states that all of its students are placed 100% of the time, verified student reviews on Shiksha indicate that only about 80–90% of students are placed in each batch. Yes, the majority of NAME Kolkata's courses require a one- to two-month internship with leading business titans.

Applicants must also pass an aptitude test administered by NAME, followed by a personal interview, in order to be admitted to certain courses offered by the National Academy of Media and Events.
