NIRDPR- one of the pioneers in rural development.
Placements: Placement is 100 percent in both the courses of PGDRDM and PGDRM. State Rural Livelihood Mission from different states come for the placement. Some top recruiters are the ICICI foundation, BAIF, NGOs, etc. I am currently pursuing 2 years PG Diploma in rural management. The highest package up till now is 6 LPA from ICICI foundation for the role of executive trainee and average package is 4.5-5 LPA which SRLM mainly offers for the role of Young Professionals. Everybody got summer internship in different organisations such as Geand Thornton, RYSS, RAJIVEEKA, SRLMs, ICICI foundation, DDUGKY, NDDB, etc. With and without stipend. Some organisations gives stipend up to 25 thousands plus TA for 2 months.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Classrooms are actually conference hall so it is equipped with smartboard, projectors, writing chairs, even water tap connection is also there in the classroom. Wi-Fi is available everywhere. Computer lab and one of the biggest library for Rural Development is there in NIRDPR. There are 2 hostels for girls and boys, having 2 sitter rooms. You will find B.Ed table, chair, side table, curtain, coolers and attached washroom inside your room. Room cleaning staffs always come for basic cleaning. Student-driven mess with a good level of food quality is available there. Sports complex, canteen, and Hospital is also there for any emergency.
Faculty: Faculty are learned fellow with Ph.D. degrees, they are highly professionals and mostly worked as government officials. Teaching is quite good but it can be improved. They follow IRMA curriculum for the syllabus. The course is quite hectic as they send students to different parts of the country for field visit as well as internships. Yes it will make students job and industry ready. Semester exams are easy for some papers and tough for others. Some students fail in the course also so the pass percentage is 97%. .
Other: I choose this course because it is one of leading demands in development sector. The best thing about this course is it will provide you the exposure to the l India from the grass root level. It could be improved by including rural policy making on how to use technology to refine the rural development sector. The institute celebrates each and every festivals and alumni meet like MAITREE is just icing on the cake. The atmosphere is quite favorable and crowd is quite good. You would find Africans also as your classmates.

I am satisfied because I have gained knowledge and skills in rural development, agriculture, etc.
Placements: A great extent of students is placed, i.e., about 80-90%. Almost all students got internships as fieldwork enables us to gain valuable insights for the given projects. There is a lot of involvement in many activities. There is a scope of getting into government sector as well.
Infrastructure: All facilities are good, and labs, classrooms and library are good. Sports and games are also organised. It is a 1-year course. Infrastructure is good with a pleasant environment. With all the facilities available, students can complete the course with a lot of involvement.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they also encourage you for self-paced study through fieldwork, internships, etc. The course curriculum is highly relevant. I have gained valuable insights from the fieldwork by engaging with many farmers. It makes students industry-ready.

Other: My Campus is best among Rural Development Course. Those who are graduated in any stream and interested to work in Rural Development Sector, it’s a best opportunity to study from here. NIRD, comes under MORD (Ministry of Rural Development). It monitors different Government Schemes for Rural Development throughout the country. The best thing is, it provided 100% placement until now, and hoping same for the future too..

Regarding PGDRDM course of NIRD&PR
Placements: The best part about this course is, it provides you with a job at the end of 1 year, organisations like Bihar rural livelihoods promotion society, Deen dyal upadhyay grameen kaushalya yojna, National Urban Mission etc. Are regular opportunities. Average package offered is around 40 K .
Infrastructure: NIRD campus is green sprawling campus spread in 177 acres, hostels are good provided on twin sharing basis, it's library is perhaps one of the best in India for rural development. There is a sports complex consists of gym, badminton courts, a swimming pool too.
Faculty: It's a hectic course with modifications in the curriculum keeps all its students on the toe. Faculty at times are un-coordinated, there are faculty members who are from prestigious universities like JNU, IIT Kanpur, Delhi school of economics etc. though course is not approved by AICTE so consultants are also called for teaching purpose
