IIM Kozhikode selection criteria 2026-2028 included shortlisting of candidates on the basis of CAT cut offs, academic record, WAT and PI. The institute has today released the PI calls for PGP 2026. Candidates who had selected IIM Kozhikode in the CAT 2025 application form can check their PI shortlist status. 

The qualifying CAT cut off percentile for IIM Kozhikode admission is 85 (General category). For the final selection of candidates for IIM Kozhikode's PGP programme, the weightage of CAT score is 35 points whereas the weightage of WAT-PI is 55 points. Resume score has 10 points.

IIM Kozhikode conducted the CAT exam on November 30, 2025. The CAT 2025 result was announced on December 24, 2025. Those who meet the IIM Kozhikode cut off 2026 will be shortlisted for the PI round. Read below, previous year's IIM Kozhikode selection criteria.

IIM Kozhikode’s admission process for the flagship PGP course is divided into three stages.

Stage 1: Registration of candidates basis CAT score

Stage 2: Shortlisting for PI

Stage 3: Final selection for admission 

IIM Kozhikode PI Shortlist 2026-2028: How to Apply?

Candidates will have to follow the process given below to fill the PI shortlist form:

  • Go to IIM Kozhikode website
  • Click on PGP admission 2026-2028
  • Go to selection criteria and click on 'Register Stage 1'
  • Enter registered mobile number
  • Type in verification code and click on 'register'
  • Once the form opens, fill the relevant fields with information
  • Click on submit to complete the process

IIM Kozhikode Cut Off 2026

IIM Kozhikode CAT cut off is the same as last year. Given below are the CAT cut offs for all categories. These are overall qualifying IIM Kozhikode CAT cut offs. Final cut offs will be higher.

Candidates who opted for IIM Kozhikode in the CAT 2025 application form and meet the final CAT cut off, will be shortlisted for the WAT-PI round and will have to register for WAT-PI round at the official website. Only those who will complete the online registration process for IIM Kozhikode within the given deadline, post the CAT result 2025 declaration, will be considered for PI and WAT.

IIM Kozhikode Admission Criteria: Final Selection 2026

Candidates will be evaluated for final selection based on their performance, academic efforts and disposition, general awareness and social disposition, attitude, personality and communication and the quality of work experience. The resume score will be calculated based on the quality of academic and professional qualifications. Category-wise merit list will be prepared based on the final scores and admission offers will be made to candidates via email by April 2025.

Candidates selected for admission will have to confirm their admission, by accepting the admission offer letter and paying the confirmation fee (first instalment of the course fee). In case, a student decides to withdraw admission, the fee amount will be refunded deducting processing charges of INR 1,000.

The CAT cut offs for IIM Bangalore hovers between 97-100 percentile. The qualifying CAT cut off required for being eligible for IIM Bangalore's Written Ability test (What) and Personal Interview PI is 85 percentile for General category students, whereas for SC candidates, it is 70 percentile. Q:   What is the difference between qualifying CAT cut off and final CAT cut off?

Qualifying CAT cut off percentiles of an IIM is the minimum percentile (sectional as well as overall) required by candidates to be eligible for the Written Ability Test (What) and Personal Interview PI round. These are only eligibility score and not the score for selection. The final CAT cut off percentiles are the scores on the basis of which a candidate is actually selected for the What-PI round. The qualifying CAT cut offs are released publically before the CAT exam and result as a part of selection criteria for the MBA/PGP batch of that year. The qualifying cut offs for CAT are release category wise - General, NC/OBC. General-EWS, SC/ST, PwD. The qualifying cut offs percentiles of General category candidate is higher than then rest. The final CAT cut offs are not released publically. The cut offs are estimate on the basis of candidate's selection for What-PI. The final CAT cut offs for General category candidate is also higher than then rest.

If a student has completed B.Tech or any four-year degree programme, they need to have a minimum work experience of three years to apply for Ph.D. programme. Additionally, the IIM Kozhikode Ph.D. fees is INR 1,000 (INR 2,000 for IIMB Test aspirants). The admission process include entrance exam score (at least 60 percentile), academic performance & research proposal followed by Personal Interview.

IIM Kozhikode admission process is entirely based on a valid scores of candidates obtained in EMAT test, which is conducted by IIM Kozhikode for its EPGP/ EMBA courses. The IIM kozhikode EPGP admission fees is one instalment of the first year fees for the course. In 2025, the EPGP admission fees stood at INR 1 lakh.
