The NATA exam is scheduled from 7 Mar to 28 Jun. Candidates are required to appear for the entrance in order to participate in the entrance-based admission process. Candidates are required to clear the cutoff set by Nehru School of Architecture to get invited for the next admission rounds. Candidates who clear the admission process are eligible to pay the course fee and secure their seat.

The Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) has a course duration of five years. The complexity of the curriculum needs to encompass the fundamentals of design, construction technology, structural engineering, environmental systems, building codes, materials Science and practice of the profession. It requires students to nurture creative design abilities as well as technical expertise during the studio work and the taking of theoretical courses and exposure to practical training. Internships or a requirement to have some experience usually also frequently form part of the programme at Nehru School of Architecture.

For admission to its BArch programme, the Nehru School of Architecture accepts NATA results. The NATA cutoff percentile for candidates in the General All India category was less than 90, following the previous year Nehru School of Architecture cutoffs. A candidate with a 90 percentile can thus be admitted to Nehru School of Architecture based on the cutoff pattern from prior years.

There is no provision for direct admission to the courses at Nehru School of Architecture. Candidates must take the NATA and finish the admissions process in order to be accepted into the programme. There is no direct admission to any of the courses offered by the Nehru School of Architecture. Candidates are required to take the entrance exam in order to have a chance of being shortlisted. 

To be eligible for BArch programmes, candidates must have passed the Central or State Government's equivalent exam or the Class 12. This level of education is comparable to the equity level of higher secondary education, which is the senior secondary education curriculum offered in India and several other nations.Candidates must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in their Class 12 in order to be eligible to apply to the BArch programme.
