NITTE Institute of Architecture Highlights 2025
Established in 2015, NIA was envisioned as a design school with a special emphasis on Tropical Architecture. The fundamental ideas behind our programs were drafted after gathering inputs from internationally acclaimed, eminent architects from India, the USA, and Europe. We have also labored through meticulous consultations and discussions with professionals in academics, design, and research fields.
Nitte (Deemed to be a University) is located in the midst of the mountain ranges of the Western Ghats and the coast of the Arabian Sea. When viewed holistically, at NIA, architecture is one element in the giant wheel that includes art, theatre, music, and design. Keeping this in mind, the institute adopted the co-operative education program, also known as 'co-op' where students acquire various skills through hands-on working/ internships.
As an integral part of the programme, the isntitute encourages students to approach design by working with their local communities and cultures to maintain a harmonious balance with our environment. The institute offers admission to BArch course in a full-time mode at the UG level. NITTE Institute of Architecture admission is entrance-based. NITTE Institute of Architecture Admission Process and Important Dates 2025
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Arch. program can submit the Admission Enquiry form available on apply.nitte.edu.in On receipt of the same, the Admission Section will guide the students through the process of registration and admission. Candidates have to submit a creative portfolio along with grade reports and aptitude test scores for evaluation.
Admission of eligible candidates to the B.Arch. program is based on their aptitude, passion for the program and willingness to work hard consistently, apart from their performance in the qualifying examination. A personal interview will be part of the final assessment for admission.
The eligibility criteria are mentioned below:
Pass in Class 12 with 50% aggregate and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
Or
Pass in 10+3 Diploma Examination with 50% aggregate and Mathematics as a compulsory subject + Qualify in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by CoA or JEE conducted by NTA. Minimum 17 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission

Nitte University provides various scholarships to the students admitted to the BArch programme. Below are the details regarding the university scholarships:
Merit Scholarships:
Eligibility: Indian nationals who have passed Class 12 in India with >80% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in Class 12, are granted fee concessions and charged tuition fees as noted below:

Excellence Scholarships:
Twenty seats are earmarked for award of Excellence Scholarships and will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Eligibility: Indian nationals who have passed Class 12 in India, with a minimum of 80% marks in aggregate in PCM subjects on the First Attempt of the Class 12 exam (OR) Candidates who have passed 10+3 Diploma in Engineering Examination in the first attempt with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and with a NATA score of 110 or more in the First Attempt.
- JEE-qualified candidates will be required to appear for NATA and fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned above, to qualify for the Excellence scholarship
- Selected students will pay a Tuition fee of INR 90,000/- per annum only under the Excellence Scholarship.
Note: The benefit of scholarships/fee concession is extended to subsequent years of study only if the student maintains good discipline and academic performance by clearing the semester examinations in the first attempt.
