No, you cannot gain admission to the MBBS programme at R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital—or any recognised medical college in India—without clearing NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate). The National Medical Commission (NMC) and Supreme Court mandate NEET as the sole qualifying entrance exam for MBBS across all government, private, and deemed institutions in India .Some institutes might mention “direct” or management quota admissions, but even these require a minimum NEET qualification. Attempts to bypass NEET through foreign medical programs are risky—graduates must still pass the FMGE to practice in India . Bottom line: If your goal is to pursue an MBBS at RG Kar or any reputable Indian medical college, you must take and qualify NEET UG and then participate in the MCC (All India Quota) or West Bengal state counseling process.
