The best college for academics and clinical exposure, but a bit disappointed with infrastructure.

Placements: In the field of dentistry, Ragas Dental College is the best college for academics. Students studying here will definitely get good knowledge and jobs easily in the best corporate hospitals like Apollo, Kauvery etc. Students under this institution are most likely to get placed in AIMS and Jipmer colleges for their post-graduation.

Infrastructure: It's a 25-years old college. So, the infrastructure is way too old-fashioned. But it has all the necessary departments and labs in a traditional style. Though it is old, the college has the best and new equipment in every department. New technology RVG machines and electronic microscopes are available.

Faculty: The faculty members are well educated and friendly. Most of the HODs are national speakers, which is really a great thing. This is the only college with more than 3 national speakers heading the departments. They guide us very well and help us in all critical cases.

Other: I chose this course out of my interest. But the reality about dentistry is that no medicine or tablets can cure a dental problem, unlike other medical courses. It requires mechanical treatment that makes it unique and also everlasting. There are a lot more fields in dentistry like surgery and esthetic dentistry, which are reaching heights now. Our college conducts cultural activities every year and also promotes us to participate in intercollege tournaments.
