These courses are to make your career in an industrial real-world project. Semester exams are difficult, pass percentage is average.

B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2027
4.0
Good government college with affordable fees, supportive faculty, and a peaceful campus environment.
Placements: My batch started in the year 2023 and completed in the year 2027. 60 percent of students from my branch got placed. The package offered is 3 or 4 LPA every year. In my college, the highest package offered is 45 LPA. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA. 75 percent of students got internships in small companies. Many short-term courses are offered by our college.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our course and department are better. Wi-Fi is available in both the hostel and the college. Labs, classrooms, and the library are neat and clean. The library is open on all 7 days, and different subject books are available in the library which can be issued by any library holder. Facilities in our hostel are good. Rooms are non-AC. Fans and lights are available there. A generator facility is also provided by the college. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities are also available 24x7. Sports and games are also maintained in our college.
Faculty: The teaching quality in our college is excellent. All teachers are good. The maximum number of teachers completed their B.Tech degree from NIT and IIT colleges. They have relevant knowledge of subjects. The course curriculum is relevant in this college, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are of a moderate level. To pass exams, students must score at least 40 percent in each subject, and it is also necessary to pass the lab exams.
Other: I chose this subject because of my interest in technology and computer science engineering. The course provided good theoretical and practical knowledge. Faculty members are supportive. Scholarships are also available for eligible students. More technical events are organised on our campus at the time of fests and freshers' party, which would improve the overall experience.

B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2027
2.0
It has poor placements, a weak placement cell, average college life, but better options.
Placements: The condition of placements is not so good after 2022. From my course, only a few students (approximately 20 to 30 percent) go for placements, and the remaining students look for GATE (M.Tech) or any other government exam preparation. In my college, the highest package offered is 45 LPA (off-campus). The lowest package offered is 3 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Hindalco and TCS. It offers training roles. Only a small number (approximately 10 percent) got internships from this course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this course is okay. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel, classrooms, labs, library, and everywhere ( a limited amount of internet data is given by the college to every student, like 15 GB per week). This course includes labs, classrooms, and the library. The hostel is good, and 3 students stay in one room. Hostel and canteen food is average. A medical facility is available for normal treatment like headache, fever, and stomach pain.
Faculty: Faculty members are not helpful, and they are just doing their job. Teaching experience is not too good. Their teaching quality is just average. The course curriculum is okay, and if students do hard work on their own, then they will get a job. Semester exams are held every 5 months, which is okay. We have to score only 45 marks out of 100 to just passing criteria. The copy checking is very bad, and they don't give a number as per students' expectations. So we can pass the exam by studying for just 1 month before exams.
Other: I am from the CSE department, so I just want this branch in any college, so I took admission in this course. I like coding and development in this course. Students just have to improve their coding skills if they are from this department. Fests are held like 2 time in a year, and they are average. The campus crowd is not much and is just average. The campus is surrounded by mountains. Students get a scholarship from the state government every year, like Rs. 57,000-64,000.

It is an affordable government college.
Placements: Placements in my college are average and gradually improving. Around 30-40 percent of students from the CSE branch got placed through campus or off-campus efforts. The highest package offered is 45 LPA. Some students also secured jobs through self-preparation.
Infrastructure: The college campus is spread over a large area. It provides a peaceful academic environment. Classrooms are spacious with basic projectors, whiteboards, and proper seating facilities. Computer labs are good in my college for everyone.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are good and supportive of everyone. The course curriculum is based on the university syllabus and covers core CSE subjects like DSA, DBMS, and OS. The pass percentage is fairly good if students attend classes daily. There are good teachers in my college.

Infrastructure is good, but placements are average.
Placements: There are 80 students in CSE. Only 40% got placed. The highest offer was 12 LPA for the post of Java Developer. The lowest package offered was 4 LPA for the role of Associate Trainer Engineer. KP Reliable was the recruiting company. Overall, the placements are not good.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24/7 in the hostel and college. Classrooms are average with benches. There are 2 canteens present in the college. A playground to play cricket is also available. Every hostel has a badminton court, and one volleyball court is also present.
Faculty: The CSE faculty is very supportive. They always encourage us to innovate. The university curriculum is not fully aligned with the industry, but it is aligned to some extent. Semester exams are not very difficult. Anyone who is wise enough to study during exam gaps can pass the semester.
Other: I was very passionate about Computer Science, and I was fond of computers and surfing the internet, because of this, I took this course.

Affordable government college with faculty and decent opportunities for ECE students.
Placements: Around 50 to 60 percent of students got placed, mainly through on-campus, pooled, and off-campus drives. The highest package offered is about 6 LPA-7 LPA, the lowest is around 2.5 LPA-3 LPA, and the average package ranges between 3 LPA-3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Hindalco, Textron, etc. About 40-50 percent of students secure internships mostly via off-campus platforms and companies, and common roles offered are Graduate Engineer Trainee, Electronics Engineer, Embedded Trainee, Test Engineer, and IT associate.
Infrastructure: The ECE department at REC Sonbhadra has basic infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, classrooms, electronics labs, and a central library for academic use. Hostels are average, mess food is hygienic but simple, basic medical facilities are available, and the campus offers sports facilities for cricket, football, badminton, and indoor games.
Faculty: The teachers at REC Sonbhadra are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good and concept-focused, and faculty members are supportive. The curriculum follows AKTU guidelines and builds strong fundamentals, but self learning is needed to be ready. Exams are of moderate difficulty, with a pass percentage of around 75 to 80 percent.
Other: I chose ECE because it offers a strong core knowledge with flexibility to move into IT electronics or higher studies. The best part of the course is its wide career scope and solid fundamentals. Improvements are needed in core company placement, advanced lab facilities, and industry exposure. Connectivity is good, scholarships are available, and students can participate in sports and extracurricular activities.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2028

3.0Placements4.0Infrastructure3.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life5.0Value for Money
Average placement, decent infrastructure, and practical learning.
Placements: Around 60 to 70 percent of students in my college get placed every year. The highest package is 45 LPA off-campus and about 15 LPA on-campus, the lowest package is around 1.3 LPA. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, and Taxtron Technologies. About 50 to 60 percent of electrical engineering students secure internships mostly in core fields with the most common role offered being field engineer. The college provides decent placement opportunities but it highlights the need for active student preparation to maximize results and aim for higher salaries in both on- and off-campus drives.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are quite comfortable with Wi-Fi available and two fans in each room, accommodating three students making it a good environment for group living and studying. The mess generally provides decent food though during the monsoon season there are occasional issues with insects in the food so extra attention to hygiene is needed. In summers, there can be a water shortage which can be a bit inconvenient. The college infrastructure is strong featuring a wide range of labs, classrooms, and halls. There is no AC in classrooms and some labs.
Faculty: The faculty at my college is a mix of highly qualified teachers and some who are less experienced. The teaching quality can be described as average. The curriculum is designed to make students industry-ready focusing on practical skills and relevant knowledge. Semester exams are manageable and not too difficult with students able to perform well with regular study. While there are some excellent teachers who guide students effectively. The teaching experience depends on the subject and the professor so it’s important to stay proactive and seek help when needed.
Other: I chose this course because Electrical Engineering offers strong career opportunities, high demand across industries, and the chance to work on innovative technologies like renewable energy and smart grids. The best things about my course are the practical exposure through labs and projects, the focus on making students industry-ready, and the variety of roles available after graduation. I wish the curriculum included more advanced topics in emerging fields like AI and IoT, and that there are more opportunities for research and industry internships.

College is good. Infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: At that time, COVID was going on, so placements were not good. No one visited the campus. Everyone tried off-campus placements, but most got placed at service-based companies like Wipro, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, and others. One of my classmates was placed at a 17 L CTC. The average package was 4 L CTC, and the lowest was 2.7 L.
Infrastructure: Everything is fine, like food, sports, but there are some medical facilities because there are so many hospitals around, about 5-6 km away. If we talk about Wi-Fi, labs, and classes, they are all good. There is a newly opened college. It was opened in 2017. Without hesitation, you can go. Best of luck.
Faculty: The teachers are very good for good students. They have good knowledge and skills. Almost all the teachers have done their Ph.D. The courses are easy, and average students can get good marks. There are 4 branches: CSE, Electronics, Electrical, and Mining. I think the mining branch opened in 2022.
