Honest review of Saraswathy College, TVM, Parassala.
Placements: Placement is as per your choice. If you want, there are placements at hospitals in Pune and Amrita Hospital in Ernakulam. The salary varies from 15k to 25k. The roles offered are for staff nurses, and you will be taken as only a trainee for a few months.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is alright, but not good, as they have the facility of projected screens, but most of the systems don't work. There are Wi-Fi and lab facilities, which are alright. The hostel is not great; the facilities are very minimal and not up to any standards set by KUHS. The mess is alright, and there is no canteen.
Faculty: One redeeming quality of this college is its academics. They are not behind any other college in this field, and most of the credit goes to the student and teacher's help. The teachers are not great, but some are very good towards the students. The semester exams are somewhat doable, and they are purely based on the skill of the student.
Other: I chose this course as I was very attached to this field because I liked the job and had job security. The involvement in co-curricular activities, especially sports, should be promoted.

College, faculty, and placements are good. Also, having good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The placement percentage is 90% and above. The average package feels like 4 LPA-5LPA. The top recruiting hospitals are Amrita Hospital Ernakulam and Saraswathy Hospital Parassala. The percentage of students who got internships is 50%, with placements at Amrita Hospital and Saraswathy Hospital. The top role offered is staff nurse.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-maintained and arranged. No Wi-Fi is available. Classrooms are well-furnished, and each has individual seating. The college has an attached hostel for girls, while the hostel facilities for boys are near the parent's hospital. The mess and canteen are average. The college has good medical facilities for all students. Monthly sports, games, and arts events are conducted, with yearly competitions held batch-wise.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and cooperative. The curriculum is good, consisting of 7 semesters and an 8th semester of an internship. The college is affiliated with KUHS (Kerala University of Health Sciences). The semester exams are tough, and 50% of the marks are needed to pass. The subjects are Anatomy, Physiology, Nursing Foundation, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Adult Health Nursing I, Adult Health Nursing II, Child Health Nursing, Community Nursing, Community Nursing II, Mental Health Nursing, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and Management Nursing.
Other: I chose this course because I am passionate about nursing. The best thing about the course is getting easy placement and high pay for this job. I wish to get a playground in the college. Events in the college include the Nurse Day competition, SNA competition, College Arts Day, and College Sports Day. The campus has a good surrounding. There are no scholarship activities like NSS.
