Review of Shri Shahaji Chhatrapati Mahavidyalaya.

Placements: The total intake of students per year for the course is 300 students. Placements are offered by the college. The average package is 2 LPA. Annually, 3-4 companies visit the college for placements. 30-40% of students get placed by college campus interviews.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good and simple. The college is old. The campus is well-connected with Wi-Fi. Classrooms are well-equipped and digital classrooms are also there. One big library is there with Wi-Fi accessibility. Books are also good. The hostel is quite good, and the food quality offered by the canteen is average and not so good. Annually, sports and gathering programs are conducted.

Faculty: The teaching quality is good. Faculty members are helpful to students. The exam pattern for the course is a semester pattern. Annually, 2-semester exams are conducted in college. Exams are conducted by Shivaji Vidya Pith Kolhapur. The difficulty level of semester exams is moderate. The pass percentage is upto 80%.

Other: My friends and seniors suggested this course, so I chose this course. This college is near my home, so I chose this college. The campus is small but good. Annually fests, sports, and extracurricular activities are held in college. Students who belong to categories like SC, ST, and OBC get scholarship benefits. Extracurricular activities are also conducted in college.

Placements: Around 70% to 90% of students get placements in our course. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA and the highest salary package is 8 LPA. Around 85% of students get internships at TCS and Infosys.

Infrastructure: Library is available with more than 1000 books. Labs are available with more than 32 computers with updated windows and Linux operating systems. Canteen is available but the quality of the food is not good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college have very good computer knowledge and experience. They solve the doubts of the students. They provide good knowledge about careers and jobs. Exams are difficult but teachers help students to crack them. All the students pass with a high percentage. Teaching quality is good.

Other: I chose this course because I want to make my career in the computer field after intermediate.

I am satisfied, and it has a very good infrastructure.

Placements: There is a placement programme. At least 70 to 80% of the students got placed or started their own business. Due to covid, many companies did not come to our college. Lots of students go for higher studies as everything has become self-dependent.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, and there is lots of free space around. It is a very good college for studying and enjoying also. In our college, there is a huge library, very big classrooms and labs to perform practicals. There are lots of facilities like canteen, medical and sports.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good, and teaching is also very good. The course is a bit more theoretical, but it should be more practical to make students industry-ready. In our college, exams are difficult because it comes under Shivaji University, and the passing percentage is almost 80 to 85%.

Other: There is a lot of crowd in our college. Many events are organised by our college and also by other colleges to participate in events. Our college supports students in every activity, so it is a good choice for students who are very active in events, etc.

Affordable fees, supportive staff, but average campus life.

Placements: I studied bachloer of commerce from Shahaji Mahavidyalaya, Kolhapur located in Dasra Chowk. 10% of students got placed in my course. The highest package was 6 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA. Recruiting companies were Flipkart, Tata Consultancy, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank. 20% of students got internships at companies like ICICI Bank, KPMG, and EY. Roles offered were customer service officer and back office.

Infrastructure: I think facilities in my college were good. Clean water was available. Classroom and seperate library were available. There was no Wi-Fi. Quality of college canteen was good, and cheap food was available. Sports like kabbadi, kho-kho, and cricket were available. Medical facilities were very poor.

Faculty: Teachers were good and qualified. They helped every student with problems in their studies. This course was relevant and very helpful in real-life knowledge. In our college, exams were difficult and very strictly conducted. I am passed with A-grade of 75% percentage.
