Placements in 2025 are really good.
Placements: Companies like Ernst & Young, KPMG, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and many more come with good offers and decent packages. Every student is given an opportunity to sit in placements. Opportunities in domains like audit, tax, finance, marketing, sales, etc., are provided.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for students, labs are fully furnished and well-maintained, and the college is clean and tidy. The classrooms are spacious and comfortable with a good atmosphere. The library has lots of books arranged properly. They also improved the food in the canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly and well-qualified. They are really helpful and also provide career guidance if you reach out to them. The curriculum followed is as per the guidelines of Calcutta University, and the difficulty level of the exams is also the same as that of CU.
Other: The college has lots of societies and gives opportunities to participate in various intra-college and inter-college events.

Active placements, good infrastructure, and a highly recommended college.
Placements: The placement at Shri Shikshayatan College is excellent for both internships and full-time jobs. Renowned companies like EY, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, Grant Thornton, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus regularly. Our placement coordinator is very supportive and guides us personally through applications, interview preparation, and every step of the process.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Shri Shikshayatan College is very well-maintained. All classrooms are air-conditioned, and the washrooms and corridors are always clean and hygienic. The college has well-equipped IT labs with proper computer facilities. There is a good library and a playground with sports amenities. Overall, the campus is clean, organized, and student-friendly.
Faculty: Faculty at Shri Shikshayatan College is highly educated, experienced, and supportive. They guide us through every project and academic requirement with patience and clarity. Teachers are well-renowned in their fields and always approachable, making the learning experience smooth and effective.
Other: Shri Shikshayatan College offers great exposure beyond academics. The college actively hosts and participates in both intra- and inter-college competitions. With vibrant societies like Gunjan, the Drama Society, the Debating Society, the Consulting Club, and the Entrepreneurship Cell, students get ample opportunities to explore their interests and showcase their talents.

An honest college review.
Placements: There is no such scheme of placements in the college. Various companies or associations come to introduce themselves and their works and in return select a few students who are suitable for the role of the job they were looking for. They offer internships, mostly paid, and take interviews of the students who are interested.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The best thing is we get the air-conditioned rooms as it gets impossible in summer of Kolkata to attend classes. The campus is quite eco-friendly as it is surrounded by nature. There are lots of flowering plants and trees. The beautiful flowering plants make the campus look very nice and a photogenic space for the students. It's aesthetics is the one that the students most appreciate of it. The availability of many computers and other equipment required by the students in the lab is another good thing about the college. I don't live in a hostel.
Faculty: There are 5-6 teachers in the English faculty and each year students vary from 60-80 in numbers. The faculty members are pretty good at teaching but a little less supportive. Though literature is tough if someone really likes reading stuff, you may go ahead. It basically develops one's thinking process and encourages one to think out of the box. Creative writing is one of its aspects and it has a lot of scope in the real world. The duration is 3 hours of paper for 65 marks.
Other: No events or fests take place in the college. I hope they take some initiative about it.

It has a really good atmosphere, and it is a girls' school, therefore, we feel more comfortable.
Placements: I belong to the CA Intermediate batch, and although it's a professional course, the institute provides excellent networking and internship opportunities. About 60%-70% of students in our batch secured internships or articleship placements. The highest stipend offered during internships went up to Rs. 15,000 per month, while the lowest is around Rs. 2,000. On average, the stipend is between Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 8,000.
Infrastructure: Our department is well-equipped with fast Wi-Fi, digital classrooms, and access to a well-stocked library with ICAI study materials and reference books. There is a separate reading room for self-study, which is very useful during exam time. For those staying in hostels, rooms are moderately spacious and hygienic.
Faculty: The faculty is one of the best parts of this course. All the teachers are qualified Chartered Accountants or subject experts, and they are always ready to clear doubts, even after class. The curriculum is comprehensive, regularly updated by ICAI, and prepares students for real-world accounting, tax, and audit work.
Other: I chose this course because I've always been inclined towards finance and law, and CA seemed like the perfect blend of both. The best thing about it is the respect it commands and the vast scope it offers, be it in practice, corporate, or entrepreneurship.

Wasted my money on this profit-oriented college.
Placements: Placement opportunities were poor. In my course, there were students with 8 GPA. But very handful of them were selected. Even I got an internship through Internshala. Top company was TCS but very few of them got selected. Even the package was below 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classroom was decent. I would not say it was too nice. Laptop conditions were very poor though. No Wi-Fi was provided at the college. Even your own cellular data will not work in that college. Canteen food tasted horrible. We had one room for sports that was always locked.
Faculty: Some teachers were not knowledgeable at all. Few think you had a lot of money to waste on paper and prints out. Not eco-friendly at all. Even the tiniest thing could be done without printouts. They will want you to invest your money in it and increase the sales of their in built stationery under the college.
Other: I wanted to pursue B.Com (hons) because I have an interest in accounts. Nothing was the best thing about my college and everything could be improved. Very crowded classroom and campus. It was a profit-oriented college. No event and fest was conducted.

I am dissatisfied with our campus and overall have no other complaints.
Placements: I am currently in my 2nd year pursuing B.Com (Hons) in this college. I have limited information about the placements opportunities but as informed by our teachers, companies like Deloitte and top MNCs recruit students from our college during their final year.
Infrastructure: Our college is one of the top colleges in Kolkata under Calcutta University. Infrastructure is excellent with air conditioners in all classrooms, one of the biggest libraries, Wi-Fi, and IT labs. Quality of food is average. There are sports and many other societies for interested students as per their choice.
Faculty: Teachers and other staff members are extremely friendly and make us understand the topic very clearly. Course curriculum is relevant as it provides practical knowledge along with theoretical knowledge. Internal exams are moderate for students who study and pass percentage is higher than usual. University exams are little tough.
Other: I chose this course particularly because of my interest in finance and accounts. Practical subjects are tough but equally fun. There is a lot of pressure to study the minor subjects and extra vernacular, otherwise it's pretty good. Events and fests take place once in a while. Campus life is non-existent for morning batches and one can take part in extracurricular activities as per their preference.
