Nursing college overall overview.
Placements: 60 percent or more than that in class 12 have been placed. The same package for everyone, that is 135,000, has been offered per year and the lowest is 80,000 per year. Tata companies, hospitals, and everyone else are 100 percent. Top roles, such as tutors and nurses, are offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities available include Wi-Fi, and lawns for each semester. Students are equipped very well. Classrooms are big and spacious with projectors and mics to be heard. The library is available with a wide variety of books. The hostel is good, with three students in one room. The quality of the food in the mess is not good, but the canteen is fine. Medical facilities have a 70 percent discount for students. Sports grounds are available, like basketball, football, volleyball, and badminton courts.
Faculty: The teachers are good and helpful. They are very well-qualified and knowledgeable. They teach in a very simple manner and special care is given to students who are weak. The course is curriculum-relevant, and they make nurses ready for the job. Semester exams are pretty easy compared to the sessions. Hardly 1 or 2 students fail in these exams.
Other: Because this course offers fast jobs to us, the best thing is getting financially independent faster. The course should reduce assignments. Scholarships are also given, and there is a wide range of scholarships. Extracurricular activities are performed in a wide range.

The honest review of Sikkim Manipal College Of Nursing.
Placements: The number of students that passed out was 94/94 during B.Sc. Nursing, 4th year. The highest package after B.Sc. was 25,000, and the lowest was 18,000. Many renowned institutions like Medanta from Delhi, Kokilaben from Mumbai, and Tata Medical from Kolkata recruited from our institution, SMCON. They provided us with a 6-month internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great. We have 10 classrooms, including those for B.Sc. and M.Sc. Along with that, we have many lab demonstration classes such as Nursing Foundation, Mental Health Lab, Child Health Lab, OBG Lab, Nutritional Lab, etc. We have digital classrooms and a library, along with clean drinking water facilities, changing rooms, and common rooms. The hostel environment is great, and the food is good. One room is allotted to 3 students, and there are gym facilities, indoor games, and a TV room.
Faculty: The teachers' qualifications are M.Sc. and Ph.D. in their respective fields. All the teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum for overall nursing is great. The semester exams are kind of difficult, with 2 semesters each year assessing students' overall knowledge and skills.
Other: I chose B.Sc. Nursing because it was my mother’s dream to be a nurse and serve the people. Since she was not able to fulfill her dream, I wanted to do it for her. The things I want to improve in my college are the college campus. There are many events like Aura, Annual Day, Hustle, Academia, Utsav, etc. There are two kinds of scholarships: one from the state government and another from the central government.

I'm satisfied with facilities and good placements are provided.
Placements: There are 100 students in one class. Everyone got internships, all classmates are friendly. We have both the clinical classes and the theoretical classes. In our clinical classes, we get to learn about so many new things and get to see different disease conditions and we love to serve the patients.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in advanced classrooms. Library facilities are available, and drinking water facilities are provided. Campus is quite big and there are indoor games such as badminton, chess, etc. New basketball courts are being constructed, and even the gym is available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and all teachers are available all the time if the students are facing any problems. They teach us very well, making the concepts crystal clear. They are very hardworking and always take classes, and are very good to students.
Other: I chose this course because, since childhood, I have always had an interest in the medical field.

Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| B.Sc. | The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December 2022. Candidate should be medically fit. |
| M.Sc. | The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council. The candidate registered as "Registered Nurse" ( & not Midwife) will not be eligible for specialisation in " Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing". Candidate shall be medically fit. The candidate, selected for admission in MSc. Nursing course shall have to submit a medical fitness certificate from a physician during the admission. Candidates who have obtained degree qualification of distance mode will not be eligible for admission. The following criteria will be applied to foreign students seeking admission to MSc. Nursing course: Equivalency of the degree of the candidate is to be recognized/ validated by Indian Nursing Council. The candidates must have no objection certificates from the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. |
