One of the most beautiful campuses in the world and won various prizes.
Placements: Internships are mandatory for everyone. Students have done their internships in various cities and states. But mostly, students prefer doing a Master's than working straight after completing a Bachelor's. The lowest package would be 3 LPA, the average would be 6 LPA, and the highest package would be 12 LPA. Top recruiters are firms that do projects for the government. The top roles are urban planner, town planner, and assistant town planner.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is very well. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. All labs related to planning are available, like survey lab, climate lab, etc. Air-conditioned libraries, lecture halls, and studios are available for students from 5 AM to 11 PM. Food is good in the mess. The canteen is also available till 3 AM at night. The first-aid room has all medications, with a doctor and nurse, a sports room with all required sports instruments, and a music room with all instruments.
Faculty: Teaching quality is very good, with real-life demonstrations. Field trips are conducted every semester to understand real-life situations and plan accordingly. The curriculum makes students ready for the market. Semester exams are not difficult. 50% is the pass in all subjects.
Other: Bachelor of Planning is a rare course. Only about 30 colleges in India have planning. The course gives significant knowledge about the market and makes students ready for the market. A yearly college fest is conducted, called Inyan. Other than that, cultural festivals have cultural events. The campus surroundings are educational institutions. Scholarships can be applied through NSP scholarships, and various clubs are present.

Review of SPA Vijayawada - School of Planning and Architecture.
Placements: Placements are not good in our course. You can get a decent job after completing the course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good and designed as per the fulfillment of space and the unique architecture of the academic building. We have sports facilities. The food served in the mess is edible.
Faculty: Faculty members are very knowledgeable. They conduct classes regularly. They have a variety of knowledge of everything. They help you whenever you need them. You have to make your efforts and have contact for your seniors to learn. You can easily crack additional exams by studying a day before exams. The course is relevant and makes students industry-ready.
Other: Our campus is good. You can learn a lot of planning concepts and gain a vast amount of knowledge from your batchmates and faculty members.

    Spav: The Hidden Cursed Gem.
Placements: Placement after Bachelors in Planning is usually hard to get, and even if you get one, the salary would be around 5-6 LPA. After Masters, this can increase to 10-12 LPA. However, people who know and understand planning can get a job with a salary of 30+ LPA in foreign countries like Japan, America, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college hostel has been ranked No. 1 for the low-cost affordable hostel in Asia. Though it’s pretty cheap, it has all the facilities, such as high-speed internet, clean bathrooms (around 3-4 on each floor, which are more than enough), a solar theater, geysers, and most importantly, cleanliness. The food is okay-ish in the mess. For a vegetarian, they don’t have much variety, and it’s pretty repetitive, but it’s still value for money. The canteen has better food compared to the mess, and the cost is also reasonable. Infrastructure for our course department is good; we have well-equipped labs for subjects that require them, but mostly planning doesn’t need that much infrastructure either.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified in their respective fields with advanced degrees, and their teaching method is also good-ish. But in your last year, they will surely help you a lot with your thesis work. The curriculum is relevant and will make you industry-ready, but on the contrary, the planning field is not that big. So, it will still grow and has good scope in it.
Other: I chose planning because it was aligning with my perspective and way of thinking, which is to help in the betterment of mankind. That’s the best thing about planning: you work for people and for a better world. But at the same time, planning has a social aspect too, which makes you learn sociology and improve your social skills. The thing I want to improve is the campus size! Also, some collateral damage has occurred, and sports infrastructure is lacking. There is always a function, competition, or conference occurring on the campus. Everyone here is mostly good and highly talented in some aspects. Inyan is the annual fest of our college, which is considered to be good. The college is located in the most happening area of the city, so all malls, food chains, and stationery are nearby. For general needs, you have to try somewhere else, but for other castes, there are many scholarships that the college supports and spreads awareness about. There is not much sports infrastructure, but still, you can play basketball, badminton, football, cricket, chess, and other games. We have 10 clubs of different genres, which you can check on the site.

The college provides very few job opportunities.
Placements: Placements are not provided by the college, and students need to search for a job on their own. Even in off-campus placements, we get low salary packages. Planning is a vast scale job, so earning for the city development is a bit hard and requires a lot of hard work.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are good. Rooms are allotted for extracurricular activities, like a dance room, music room, sports room, prayer room, survey lab, art lab, GIS lab, computer lab, central library, and auditorium. There are many open-air theatres on campus. The hostel facilities are quite good compared to other colleges. The rooms are very comfortable with proper furniture available in each double and single rooms. The hostel mess is just okay. The timings and facilities are accordingly and acceptable.
Faculty: Our faculty members are highly qualified. They are very knowledgeable. They help students in all aspects. They teach very well and do not show any bias among students. Students are free to approach any faculty for help. They do not refuse to help. Students in our college respect them very much. The curriculum is simple but changing over time, as planners must be aware of current conditions and issues in cities and the world. There is an overall course objective that needs to be fulfilled by the end of the last semester. There are 4 assessments in total, mid-term exam and end-semester examinations, and the other two assessments can be given as assignments or class tests or presentations.

A great place to learn planning and architecture, good faculties, bad administration. Messy mess.
Placements: There is as such no official placement cell in the college as of now. But an effort is going on. Students passing out from bachelor's course get into jobs or higher studies. Students get a job after applying for different firms and companies personally or through contacts and references of faculty members and seniors. I too got a job after my one of the seniors recommended me in a company in Lucknow. The average salary for fresh graduates is between 20-30k (which is quite less). Few companies and government institutions do hire but only from post graduate students. The students do an internship for 4 weeks in the second summer vacation and 6 weeks in the third summer vacation. Each and every student gets an internship (mostly unpaid) as a part of the academic curriculum. Stipends range from 5k-15k on an average if it is paid. Overall, there is a problem of placements and jobs, that's why placement cell is awaited eagerly.
Infrastructure: The academic block is nearly 6-7 km away from the hostels. The college campus is under construction. Only hostel facilities are available, that too, the students have shifted this year only. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus and hostels. The classrooms and studio labs are big, well ventilated, and spacious. First aid and nurse are available throughout the official timing. Sports are encouraged but there is a problem of the sports ground. Major sports activities are cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis, carrom, kabaddi, etc. The mess food is an issue but it will soon get solved. A canteen is available with a variety of snacks and food available at reasonable price. The canteens are quite clean too. New hostel rooms are very spacious and well ventilated. Table, chair, bed, cupboard and all basic facilities are given. Security and discipline are well maintained.
Faculty: The faculty members are well trained and are experts in their related fields. The study environment in the college is positive and constructive. The faculty members are helpful too. Both theory and practicals are being taught with study tours throughout India. The course curriculum is one of the best for planning study. Industry exposure is less in the college but is improving. Various software are taught like AutoCAD, ArcGIS, ErdasImagine, etc. Laptops are necessary but computer labs are also available here. Administration and management in the college are little weak but academically, it is one of the best.
Other: The mess is messy, very bad. One will surely miss home for food if not for parents. All the faculty members are good and friendly. They are always ready to help. The college is a little biased (just an opinion though; I never faced any problem due to that). The administration is not good at all. The college management is okay. Sports are encouraged. A unique and interesting mix-up of Indian diversities as students from all over India come to study and live together. It was a great experience altogether.

Life of a student in SPAV.
Placements: Mostly, in planning, 60-70 percent of students get placement in my course. The average package for starters is 5-6 lakhs per annum. The lowest was 3 lacs per annum. On average, students get 5 LPA as starters. There are some government jobs that come from Niti Aayog, etc. Mostly the roles that are offered would be town planner, regional planner, local area planner, etc.
Infrastructure: For my course, there are better classrooms with more air ventilation. There are many labs for us, like the GIS lab, architecture lab, etc. There is a library in which they got almost every book that is useful for us in our studies, and we can even take them away for 30 days. Regarding Wi-Fi, there is a separate login code for each student in which they can access Wi-Fi using their college mail ID, and the Wi-Fi speed goes up to 1 Gbps. Regarding the hostel, there are double rooms and single rooms in which either one person can stay in one room and two people can stay in one room. The food is so nice, and they give paneer 3 days a week and non-veg 3 days a week (biryani every Wednesday afternoon). Except for Wednesday night food and Friday afternoon lunch, everything is fine. There is a 24/7 medical facility available in college, and the doctor will be available from evening 4 pm to 10 pm. A nurse will be available 24/7 in the medical facility. Regarding sports, we have a separate basketball court, an athletics ground (where football, cricket, and running track are included), and a volleyball court (which is used for both kabaddi and volleyball).
Faculty: The faculty here in SPAV is well educated, and most of them were IIT graduates with more than 15 years of experience. Their teaching is way more unique from what we observed in our schools and intermediate education. The college management made a flexible course curriculum with time for festivals, sports, study times, etc., which everyone likes in this college. We got flexibility to go on our interests while getting enough time for our studies. The semester exams are quite hard for some students and moderate for some other students. The questions will be created by the exam-holding faculty, and those who go through many books and gain a good knowledge about the topics can score good marks in exams. The pass percentage is 86-92 percent.

A percentile around 94.93 has a good chance for OBC-NCL candidates with an estimated rank between 7,000 to 10,000. However, it's best t
