BPlan or Bachelor of Planning course is four years four-year full-time degree in planning for candidates who plan to pursue a career as a planning professional. They are given exposure to topics such as Urban and Rural Planning, Making Housing settlements, building structures and understanding basic architectural design. BPlan is offered by many institutes in India which also offer courses in Architecture such as BArch and MArch.  

Bachelor of Planning (BPlan) is an undergraduate academic degree to train applicants in various aspects of designing, engineering, managing and resolving challenges related to human settlements. The working areas include metropolitan cities, small cities, congested towns and also villages. BPlan course prepares candidates to prepare effective planning legislations, understand nuances of sustainable urban development and plan and manage resources for informal sector. They are also introduced to human values in the planning process. 

Bachelor of Planning or BPlan duration is a 4-year full-time undergraduate course, the minimum eligibility for which is a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) qualification with a minimum aggregate score of 50 percent with Mathematics as a subject. This course is not offered in Lateral Entry mode unlike BTech which is offered to candidates in Lateral Entry mode. Candidates who have studied Mathematics in Class 12th must surely apply for this course. After Engineering and Architecture, B.Plan is a very popular course among candidates.

NATA 2026 registration will start in February 2026. Candidates can fill out the NATA application form 2026 online at nata.in. The authorities do not accept offline applications for NATA 2026. All of the details submitted in the application form have to be valid and as per the documents possessed by the candidates. The required fee has to be paid online.

Look over the fundamental eligibility requirements that are listed below.

• Students need to graduate from an accredited board for their 10+2.
• Candidates must get at least 50 percent overall in their qualifying exam.
• As a requirement for their 10+2 education, students must take Mathematics.

No, you are not eligible to apply for B Planning course as you have not studied Maths as a subject in Class 12. It is very much important for you to have studied PCM which are Physics, Chemistry and Maths to be eligible for this course.

After completing the 4 -year Bachelor of Planning course, graduates can easily work as professional planners for either public or private organisations. B.Planning deals with only planning aspects you won't plan buildings etc. but you will plan large-scale areas like town services, city-scale development, policy, and infrastructure, etc.
