The best college that I have attended for B.Com.
Placements: My college contains a good placement cell, which helps everyone to get internships and placements. During September-October, the companies like Amazon, Flipkart, ADP, HSBC, etc., visit the campus and selects everyone through 4 to 5 hardcore rounds. Like, in 2016 September, from my batch, three people were selected for CSR on Amazon. CSR, analyst, voice rep, etc., were offered to the students. From my batch, I got selected for The Bluebook" as campus ambassador in 2016. Mine was an internship. I was offered a salary of Rs. 8,000 per month. Every college should have such placement cell.
Infrastructure: If I talk about the infrastructure, I didn't face any problem during my tenure. There was a good Wi-Fi connection on all levels, and every level had a Wi-Fi connection. There was a good and well-maintained computer lab as well as a library for studies as well as periods. The classrooms had A/C and good ventilation with whiteboards. The college also had a cricket net playing pitch and basketball ground. It also had well-maintained parking for staff and students. My college does not have a hostel. The canteen is the best place to hang out during breaks. The food is deliciously tasty, and it is served hot.
Faculty: The teachers and other faculty members were knowledgeable. They helped us understand the basics and topics clearly. There is a theatrix for guest lectures. The college also takes students to industries to get exposure to the subject thoroughly. I was taken to Bisleri and Aquafina. The college has a connection with "acumen connect", which takes us to industry visits. The teaching methods such as the projectors were used wherever applicable. My college had B.Com vocational, general, computers and honours, B.A. Mass Communication, journalism, B.Sc., and B.A. I took B.Com (vocational), which means advertising and marketing management. My course was useful to me because it helped me get exposure to marketing, supply chain management, retail chain management, etc. Now, I am using those techniques and methods in my business.
Other: Except all these mentioned above, we had a college fest called "Prerna", which is held in December. In this, the students from outside as well as college participate in different activities and also put stalls with some items. There is dance, singing, jam competition, etc. During this time, the campus crowd will double up during normal times. The first winner either gets a cash prize or a gift. During general hours, the campus crowd will differ according to the situation. During my tenure, the attendance was not compulsory. Now, as the semester system has started, 85% of the attendance is compulsory to write the internals. The extracurricular activities include singing, college drama group, college cricket team, etc., are available on the campus.
