The admission policy of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai for the undergraduate programmes has certain conditions. For Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme, the admission is done on the basis of HSSC or any equivalent examination conducted by any recognized Board of Examination with not less than 45 % marks in aggregate. To pursue Bachelor of Science (BSc) the candidate should have passed the HSSC examination or any other equivalent examination securing at least 55% of the total aggregate marks. For Bachelor of Commerce (BCom programme) The candidate must have passed the HSSC exam or any other examinations equivalent to it with having minimum 45% total marks and 40% marks in Mathematics. The college also affords reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates according to the state government rules though half the percentage of students in the college are Christian minority candidates.

For undergraduate courses like BMS, BMM, B.Sc, etc.: It is upon marks scored in the Class 12 exams to grant opportunities to students already enrolled through the portal of the University of Mumbai and also fill the Mithibai College form. 3. Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Delhi, offers admissions for BMS and its counterparts through the centralized DU admissions, which has cutoffs determined by Class 12 marks.
