The college of joy and fun.
Placements: Around 50% of people got placed. Many pursued higher studies. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. Some students get placed in other states and in local authorities. Some of the students got placed in IOCL and Google through their remote sensing.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are available. Wi-Fi is working, but sometimes due to heavy usage, it does not work well. Labs are well-equipped with world-class facilities. Classrooms are well-arranged with smart class and online learning features. The library is good but requires an ID card.
Faculty: The syllabus of a semester completion takes 6 months, but due to talented and good faculty members, it is possible in 4 to 5 months. Semester examinations are quite difficult as the NBU sets tough question sets. You have to study hard and believe in yourself.
Other: I chose the B.Sc. geography course because it can help me pursue my dream career. For improvisation, teachers must teach conceptually. Events, fests, the campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, and scholarship are good.

Surya Sen College is an undergraduate government-aided degree college established in 1998.
Placements: 50 percent of people were placed, and many pursued higher studies. The lowest package was INR 1.5 LPA, and the highest was INR 4 LPA. Some local companies come for recruiting, although it's not so bad. I don't know what the roles offered in my course are because I am doing my UG right now.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course are not so bad; there are practical classes, good labs, and, of course, great functions. You will get a library too, with strict order. I haven't eaten food from the canteen, so I don't know about it, but sports and games are pretty good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you ask them for their knowledge about semester exams in this college. If you don't miss the classes and join the lectures and tests regularly, I don't think exams will be hard for all of the students. The passing percentage of this college is pretty good at 93.
Other: I want to make a career in accounting, so that's why I chose this stream to learn new things. After that, I gained more confidence and can go for the future. They organized a freshers' welcome party and social party and celebrate some festivals.

    NBU Review by a Student
Placements: Minimum 60% of students can apply in my course. The course fee is very high, it’s most probably 5000-7000. No recruiting companies for my course. Minimum 30% of students got internships from my course, but work places are too few.
Infrastructure: Library facilities are very good; there are lots of books, and the library is also big with a peaceful environment. The library management is also good and very impressive. Hostel facilities are also very good; there are lots of rooms. Food and toilets are also clean, and medical facilities are available.
Faculty: There are lots of quizzes, competitions, Olympiads, and class tests for student improvement. Extra-curricular activities are also included. We celebrate fresher’s, farewell, Rabindranath Tagore's birthday, Swami Vivekananda's birthday, and college foundation day.
Other: My friends, family, and tuition teachers suggested this course to me because it is very good and easy. I wish the teachers would improve their time management; they are very late. There are lots of events, fests, and the campus is also very clean. Scholarships are also available.

Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya offers a balanced experience for budget-conscious students.
Placements: I studied at Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya, Siliguri, and the overall placement opportunities were average. Around 25–30% of students from my course were placed through the college. The highest package offered was around 4.2 LPA, the lowest was 1.8 LPA, and the average hovered near 2.5 LPA. Most of the recruiting companies were local or regional-level firms, with a few national recruiters visiting occasionally. Internships were offered, but were not very frequent. Only a small percentage of students (10–15%) received internships, mostly in sales, marketing, or customer support roles. Common roles offered included sales executive, customer support, junior accountant, and marketing associate.
Infrastructure: The college had decent infrastructure for academic activities. Classrooms were spacious and equipped with basic teaching aids. Wi-Fi was available in some parts of the campus. The library had a good collection of reference books and study materials. However, the practical lab could have been improved in some departments. The hostel facilities were limited, and not all students got accommodation. The quality of food in the canteen was average, but hygienic. There were basic sports facilities, and medical help was available on campus in case of emergencies. Overall, the infrastructure supported learning but could have benefited from upgrades.
Faculty: Faculty members were well-qualified. Most of them were helpful and knowledgeable in their subjects. They tried their best to clear students’ doubts and support academic growth. The course curriculum followed the guidelines of the university and covered both theoretical and practical aspects, but some parts felt outdated and did not fully meet current industry needs. Semester exams were moderately difficult, and students who attended classes regularly usually passed without much difficulty. The pass percentage was quite good, ranging from 70% to 80% in most courses.
Other: I chose this course because it aligned well with my interests and future career plans. The college was also well known in the Siliguri region. The best thing about the course was the affordable fee structure and supportive environment for studies. The campus life was lively with occasional cultural events, seminars, and fests. The crowd was friendly and from diverse backgrounds. However, I felt the college could have improved by offering more extracurricular activities and better placement support. Connectivity to the city was good, and the surroundings were peaceful and safe.

I just love the college. It's beautiful and teachers are really very sweet.
Placements: 80% of students were placed in my course. It was average, not a huge amount. There were so many companies that you could choose from yourself. 40% of students got internships. So many roles were there in this course. Try to come and take admission at the college, you will love the college.
Infrastructure: There was a library. A huge playground was there. 3 buildings were there for separate courses like commerce, science, and arts. Food was amazing and tasty as well. I love the food in our canteen. You must come and try the food in our canteen. Take admission in the college.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and really sweet. Male and female both were really sweet. Teachers helped us with the studies, they were like our parents. Teachers taught very well. It is the best college, and you should take admission at the college.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted this course.
