Suryadatta College of Management Information Research & Technology (SCMIRT Pune) is a constituent unit of Surya Group of Institutes and was founded in 1999. The institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly known as University of Pune or University of Poona) and recognised by Government of Maharashtra. SCMIRT is accredited by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), All India Management Association (AIMA) and Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra (DTE) as well. It offers an array of bachelor and master programmes in the fields of Business Administration, International Business, Information Technology and Commerce. Students from all parts of India and many foreign countries pursue education in courses such BBA, BSc and BCom at undergraduate level and MSc and MCom at postgraduate level.
There are various facilities available for the students at SCMIRT that include a state-of-the-art campus, well-equipped labs, management labs, computer labs and a high-speed Wi-Fi facility for students to remain connected with their respective faculty members all the time. The library offers access to a wide range of information sources that include 24,000+ regular text books reference books, 62 leading national and international journals, magazines, periodicals and subscription of six leading newspapers.

Suryadatta College of Management Information Research & Technology admission process is conducted in both online and offline modes. Admissions are offered on first-cum-first-serve basis since seats are limited. The application process for all the programmes begin in the month of April every year. Candidates applying for UG and PG programmes must ensure their eligibility criteria before applying for the programme.
UG Courses
- Admission to all the UG programmes such as BBA, BSc, and BCom is based on merit in the last qualifying examination (Class 12 or equivalent)
- Fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not assure admission to a programme. The final decision to admit a candidate rests with the institute
PG Courses
- Final admission to PG programmes such as MSc and MCom is based on marks obtained in graduation
- Candidates awaiting results of final examination can also apply as they will be given provisional admission until their final semester’s mark-sheets are out
