Some thoughts about my golden days in VL College of Pharmacy Raichur

Placements: In the 1st year of diploma in pharmacy, the total strength in the classroom was 70 students. After the completion of my diploma in pharmacy, I did an internship. The highest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. The lowest salary package every pharmacist gets after completing the diploma in pharmacy is 2.8 LPA. After the completion of this course, top hospitals offer pharmacist jobs. Almost 80% of students from a class get internships. Roles offered in this course are to provide information about medicine to the public and the dispense medicine.

Infrastructure: V L College of Pharmacy has a unique infrastructure. In this college, we will get the facility of Wi-Fi. There is a huge library for students to study. We have a restroom at the end on the third floor. There is an auditorium where all functions are organised. Badminton, chess, carrom, and any kind of sports are organised. V L College of Pharmacy has hostels. There is a girls' hostel and a boys' hostel. In the boys' hostel, there are no food facilities. The girls' hostel provides facilities. They also provide buses in the hostel. They conduct sports and everything in hostels. It provides very good quality meals to every student in the hostel like breakfast. They also provide evening snacks. For dinner, they provide rice, sambar, and curry. In the hostel, they do not provide non-vegetarian food items. Only fruits are available in the hostel.

Faculty: College of Pharmacy is one of the oldest colleges in Raichur. Lecturers in the college are highly qualified and experienced. Every teacher has a minimum of 7 years of experience. Some teachers have 30 years of experience in the teaching field so this prepares students very well. The teaching quality of the teachers is very good. This course curriculum is relevant and makes students to work in the medical industry and hospitals. They have the option to open their medical stores. In the 1st year, they conduct three internal exams. In three internal exams, we have two internal exams. If students got above 15 marks in the internal exam in both then in the final, they can pass easily by writing only 25 marks out of 80. The passing percentage of students is above 80%.

Other: After completion of my second PUC exam, I dreamed of entering the medical field. I do not have much money to enter an MBBS course, so I chose the diploma in pharmacy course because this course is one of the best respective and professional courses. After an MBBS, the pharmacist is the only hope of India. I think in this course, if the lecturer introduced animation videos of drugs and every point, then students could understand easily. In this college, they conduct mini functions like before 20 days of the annual day. They conduct many programs. They conduct sports outdoor games, competitions, and everything. The campus is decorated. It is full of trees and grass. It looks awesome, so students who belong with SC ST cards have scholarship facilities. They get compensation for the fees. They also get an extra scholarship in their bank account. Students who belong to general and OBC castes do not get scholarships as well as any discount on college fees.
