Fashion Entrepreneurship: Entry Into The World of Style & Fashion
If you wish to set up a fashion house of your own, Fashion Entrepreneurship is an apt course for the same. Fashion has emerged a big business in India over the last decade. This business is not restricted to designing any more. Fashion management is one of the most preferred career options among students today.
The Fashion Entrepreneurship Post Graduate Diploma Programme recently started by International College of Fashion (ICF) encompasses concepts of designing along with that of entrepreneurship. Poonam Bajaj, Director--ICF, says, “Whether or not students start a business, most employers find entrepreneurial traits attractive in new recruits. We want to encourage our students to innovate and introduce a new product or a process into the market.”
The newly launched Fashion Entrepreneurship programme, with course duration of 12 months & cost Rs. 2,20,000, unlocks the door of ample exposure to students, where they get opportunities to interact with fashion experts, interns working in reputed fashion houses & other veterans in the fashion business. All candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification are eligible for this programme.
To structure the content of the entrepreneurship module, ICF has shaken hands with IIT, Delhi. ICF will be assisted by National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad in designing the fashion & design curriculum. In addition, National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) in partnership with ICF provide students with advanced facilities such as design machinery & incubator labs. Besides this, NIESBUD will also assist students in starting their fashion venture by helping them get access to nationalized banks for small-scale loans.
