People of all ages love to watch and play this game. Most of the young boys now want to be a cricketer in life. Parents send their children to cricket academy to learn cricket from their childhood. Many children take this as their hobby and many want to pursue it as their profession.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />After the success of the IPL the game of the cricket has reached to new level. To reap the crops of this passion the Cricket Association with Auckland University has introduced a diploma in cricket, the world's first anywhere. The university is planning to target Indian students for this course.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />Speaking during the inauguration of the programme in Chennai, Andrew Eade, CEO of the Auckland Cricket Association, said, "With the Indian Premier League becoming such a huge hit, the global market for cricket is concentrated in the subcontinent. We want to cash in on it. People here are eager to take cricket as a profession, be it as a player or referee or being involved in the management part. The course will provide a good platform for those who are interested."</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />He also mentioned in the conversation that the conversation that he want to take this program to the next level and want to do collaboration with an IPL franchisee for the same. He further added the course is completely different from what cricket academies across the country provide. This is a proper university course and is designed not only for the players, but also for coaches, support staff, literally for all who are associated with the sport.
