The Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly Delhi College of Engineering, commenced the admission procedure for its M.Tech courses from June 1, 2010.

The Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly Delhi College of Engineering, commenced the admission procedure for its M.Tech courses from June 1, 2010.

The M.Tech. programmes are being offered in following 17 disciplines, with 306 seats for the full-time courses and 45 seats offered on the part-time basis.

  1. M.Tech. in civil engineering (structural engg.) - 18 (full-time); 5 (part-time)
  2. M.Tech. in civil engineering (environmental engg.) - 18 (full-time); 5 (part-time)
  3. M.Tech. in civil engineering (hydraulic and flood engg.) - 18 (full-time); 5 (part-time)
  4. M.Tech. in geotechnical engineering - 18 (full-time)
  5. M.Tech. in signal processing & digital design - 18 (full-time); 5 (part-time)
  6. M.Tech. in microwave & optical communication - 18 (full-time)
  7. M.Tech. in VLSI design and embedded system - 18 (full-time)
  8. M.Tech. in electrical engg. (control & instrumentation) - 18 (full-time); 5 (PT)
  9. M.Tech. in electrical engg. (power system) - 18 (full-time)
  10. M.Tech. in mechanical engineering (thermal engg.) - 18 (full-time); 5 (part-time)
  11. M.Tech. in mechanical engineering (production engg.) - 18 (full-time); 5 (part-time)
  12. M.Tech. in information system - 18 (full-time)
  13. M.Tech. in polymer technology - 18 (full-time); 5 (part-time)
  14. M.Tech in computer technology & application - 18 (full-time); 5 (part-time)
  15. M.Tech. in software engineering - 18 (full-time)
  16. M.Tech. in nano science & technology - 18 (full-time)
  17. M.Tech. in bioinformatics - 18 (full-time); 5 (part-Time)

Besides having secured minimum 60 per cent marks in the prescribed qualifying examination, a candidate needs to have a valid GATE score to secure admission in a full-time M.Tech. programme. Those applying for a part-time course, need not to have GATE score but should be employed with minimum one year of work experience at the time of admission.

All the applications received will be short listed on the basis of performance in GATE and qualifying examination for full-time and part-time programmess respectively. The short-listed candidates will be called for interviews as per the following schedule.

  • Interview for full time candidates: 10.00 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010

The Prospectus and Application Form can be obtained either in person from the University counter on payment of Rs. 750 by Demand Draft, or by post on remitting a Demand Draft of Rs. 850/- drawn in favour of the Registrar, DTU and payable at Delhi. The last date to receive the request to send the application form by post is June 15, 2010. The application form can also be downloaded from the University website, www.dce.edu and submitted alongwith demand draft of Rs 750 (for B.Tech and M.Tech. programmes) at the University.

Deadline:

  • The last date to submit the completed Application Forms for M.Tech. programmes is June 21, 2010 (Monday) by 5 pm.
