AEEE 2016: Eligibility & Test Centers

AEEE 2016 Eligibility

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts Amrita Entrance Exam – Engineering(AEEE) for admissions to its four year BTech Degree programmes. AEEE 2016 is scheduled to be held in two parts – Online (Computer Based Test) and Offline (Pen and Paper).

While the CBT exam will be held on April 17,18 and 19, the Pen and Paper exam will be conducted on April 23, 2016. Check AEEE 2016 important dates here!

To take the exam, firstly, aspirants must have been born on or after July 1, 1995. Secondly, aspirants must have passed in 10+2 ( class XII ) or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects. Or, a three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education.

The point to note here is that aspirants who will be taking the above examination in March or April 2016 and expect to secure minimum marks as mentioned  above may apply too.

AEEE 2016 Test Centers:

AEEE is taken by a large number of students, thus, the exam is held at various centers.

The CBT is held in 67 centres, while the Paper and Pen exam is conducted in 36 cities.

Aspirant taking the CBT will be allowed to give three preferences of test centers. Out of the three choices, he/she would be allotted one, preferably the first choice.

For Paper and Pen test, aspirants can give two preferences by choosing two cities in the order of preference. Generally, aspirants are allotted any one of the two cities. In case, if the exam is not held in these cities, aspirants will be allotted a different city at the discretion of the University.
