AICTE action may delay admissions in tech colleges
The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has recently extended the date for receiving application for establishing new colleges till 31st January. This is likely to protract the admissions to the Pharmacy, Engineering, Master of Computer Application (MCA), and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
This dateline is the third revision for receiving proposals for the new college. According to GTU officials in a TOI report, the AICTE will approve the colleges till May-June which will further holdup the admission procedure. (Read more...)
According to sources, the procedure was supposed to be completed by December last year so that the academic sessions of the newly-granted colleges are not delayed. However, with the extension of the dateline to 31st January, the colleges will have to rush in to finish the admission process.
