AIEEE online submission date set on 31st Dec 2011

Attention AIEEE aspirants! The last date for AIEEE 2012 online submissions has been announced and it is on as 31st December, 2011. So, folks those who haven't filled up the online forms yet, its high time to do so. Here's more about the most talked about engineering entrance exam. 
An acronym for All India Engineering Entrance Examinations, AIEEE is an all-India common entrance examination for admission to engineering and architecture or planning programmes at the undergraduate level.
It comprises a paper on physics, chemistry and mathematics along with aptitude and drawing. The examination is conducted each year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates who get through AIEEE can get admitted into universities and institutions all over India for BE, B.Tech, B.Arch or B.Planning courses.
Eligibility:
- The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE 2012 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination
- Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in 2012 can also appear in AIEEE 2012 provisionally.
- Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1987 are eligible.
- In the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PWD candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1982 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.
Exam Structure:
- For BE/B.Tech: For BE or B.Tech, the question paper is objective and is 3 hours long. The questions asked mainly deals with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics studies in Class 10th and 12th. All the 3 subjects hold equal weightage. Each question has four options and students have to choose the right option amongst them. However, there is a negative marking of ¼ mark for every wrong answer.
- B.Arch/B. Planning: The question paper here is spread over 3 sections i.e. Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing test. Mathematics and Aptitude test would mainly include objective type of questions. On the other hand, drawing test would deal with questions to check the drawing abilities and aptitude of the aspirants.

- Date of Examination (On-line) - 07-05-2012 to 26-05-2012
- Date of dispatch of Admit Card - 10.03.2012 to 31.03.2012
- Issue/dispatch of duplicate Admit Card (on request only with fee of Rs.50/- + postal charges of Rs. 30/- extra for out station candidate)
- 07.04.2012 to 28.04.2012 (by hand)
- 11.04.2012 to 20.04.2012 (by post)
- Declaration of Results: On or before 15.06.2012
