Allotment of engineering seats has become a big problem when Kerala High Court has asked AICTE to submit the latest regulations used for conducting entrance admissions. A question has been raised on the addition of plus two marks to entrance test rank to decide merit for engineering seats. Court has directed the regulations after the AICTE counsel challenged the argument of by K Ramakumar, the counsel of petitioners, that the council's regulations is against adding plus two marks. AICTE has made a point and said that the regulations mentioned by the petitioners belong to 2003, whereas the latest regulations of council's came out in 2010-11 and many provisions are different.
